I was came across with this iEra annual GST video by a friend.
Why don't Classic rebuild the whole frame of GST like Era?

To give a better understanding of this whole concept, I have made a list of pros and cons.

Pros

• Concept seasonal GST will accept 16 teams from both iDevice and Mixed, so there are ONLY total of ~32 groups entering (Unless a guild enters both iDevice & Mixed).
• It discourages any last minute guilds, unloyal hoes and noobs that are entering the GST for a 'GST item'. They don't deserve to be in if they aren't a worthy opponent who is motivated enough to take GST seriously.
• GST guilds must earn their GS score. Reset the GS score two weeks before the GST and monitor it everyday.
• Making in to Top 32 won't be an easy task, It requires a lot of members trust & loyalty, members will be busy showing up to GS and practice hard together as a team.
• GST Arenas will be reduced to 2, An admin MUST record BOTH arenas while spectating and commentating on Twitch.
• Admins recording the GST would be a clear evidence. So if anything goes wrong, you can watch the clip and point it out.
• Admins hosting a livestream and commentating would entertain the viewers and won't be as many players on during the GST.
• GST Viewing Room will contain only 2 GST Arenas at the top and will have a GST shop at the bottom next to the Entrance.
• GST event would only take an hour and half to complete. (Each host hosts 8 rounds, which is same, but they don't have to wait the other host to finish their rounds).
• Players can't complain about how admins are corrupted, because the video will be published on the Youtube.
• Players can't complain about the server lag, less players are going to be on for the event.
• Noobs won't cry over a GST item, cause now anyone can buy it while spectating the GST.
• It will be easier for me to record 2 arenas, won't have to worry which guilds to record. Or possibly I don't have to record at all.

Cons

• Current seasonal GST accepts 64 teams from iDevice and 32 teams from Mixed, so there are total of 96 groups entering the GST.
• It doesn't give opportunity to many players to participate in the seasonal event.
• You can't choose which GST to watch since there are only 2 arenas in total.
• It won't be interesting as the past GST. You won't find a random underdog teams.
• Boosting guilds can appear, in this case, admins have to be more strictly monitor the GS rooms.

With a commentary like iEra admins. That is my LEAST expectation. The other stuff eh, idk u guys hate changing.

2 arena idea was kinda for me, I kinda hate to leave out some other matches since there are 6 arenas in total.
The maximum I can record is 2. I wish other Youtubers can join in and we can divide them up or something.

Other ideas were for people who hated last minute teams, unloyal members and server lag during the gst.
if they have to make it to top 32, they gotta show up to the work ;) u see what i mean?

i'd like the one that has a talent with keep players entertained.  

I don't think I really understand the concept you're trying to describe. It just seems like a reduction of teams, a reduction of arenas, the removal of tournament entry items and for staff to steam the event - Is that right?

Reduction of unnecessary teams and arenas. Make the entry item available to everyone who come by and watches the tourney. So it removes a dumb reason to enter the GST and staffs should record and steam the event with awesome commentary and clear view, yeah.
If you saw my past GST videos. It's usually laggy and have no idea what is going on and there was even a hacker on the arena.

I started this idea from 'a reason' to enter the GST. Most people entered it just for the consolation prize.
I'm saying, if they aren't motivated enough to take this event seriously? They shouldn't be participating. It is just a waste of time for me and other players. And to prove their motivation, it requires a work. It doesn't come free by words. You have to prove it with your friends, GS everyday as a team. Get high points enough in the leaderboard to show us that you have a motivation to destroy other teams.

It will be impossible for last minute teams to gather their members and try to enter the GST. Cause they will be low in the leaderboard to get qualified in the first place.
It will be disadvantaging to any guilds with unloyal members who doesn't show up until the GST. Leader should know having a good player doesn't mean anything if they aren't going to practice as a team everyday.

Didn't you try to apply a rule where people has to be in a guild for more than a month to be in the GST? That concept, I think it applies on here as well. This one is more intense, cause you have to work for it or no deal.

Or you know what? Let me tweak the idea a little.
Let guilds sign up two week before the GST and GST registration gets closed right a day before GST.
Reset all the guild score when the GST registration is up.
Top 32 teams, 16 each, get qualified for the GST.
It will only take an hour to host with 4 arenas.  

If era does 16 teams is because those spam noobs take for ever for one round. That video is worse than classics last gst final. Anything that would eliminate 448 player from participating is thumbs down for me.

Don't worry, classic is working on redoing the guild system into a point system and it will take towering, sparring, and pkng into consideration. Once that's done everything will be much better. I heard that from a really reliable source. No names  

tbh whenever I wanted to enter the GST my team and I would take it pretty seriously, though we knew we wouldn't win we would still enjoy practicing and see hpw far in we could get.

Maybe a 2nd tier GST could be implemented rather than changing the current one, perhaps the top 16 teams in the first GSTs could be entered into a second one the week after?

I don't really like the idea of this. Imo, GST items reward players who actually participate in the GST. GST items encourage others to work harder to enter GST, especially if this system was ever implemented. If everyone was able to buy GST items, it would ruin the purpose of it. If someone who really wanted a GST item didn't get in, well, better luck next time.

448 players participating to get the consolation prize. That's how I see it.

Good to hear Classic is working on the new guild system, they better not play with my emotions again

good argument, doing it for fun and serious. i like your idea though.
people gotta at least show that they are serious by earning their gs points or take a victory from 2nd tier event.
Then it carries on to the actual GST, you can see how far you could go from there.
It will also fun to watch and they will have no excuses from it.

Haven't seen any noob teams winning in the GST or making to the finals.
The 'easiest team' that won GST is Northern Sign. But they actually had pretty darn good team.
I do see guilds slacking until the very last day. They aren't sparring at their best 'unrusty' mode though.
It was horrible to watch, but they made it to the 'quarter final' cause they are made up with past gst finalist members.

You're correct about this, but what I meant by it is that it encourages people to work hard for GST so they recieve items. So either way you're still correct haha cx

There should still be some sort of system where only experienced teams (and not last second created teams) get into GST. Because it doesn't really make sense why you would give out GST items to people who don't enter the GST.

I don't think Thallen, or anyone for that matter, could of put that post in a better perspective.
