looks cool. you could try making the lightning appear super fast, until the symbol is fully revealed
they did something like this in the flash. Could use the sparkle effect you did to etch it as it appears. After that, use the sparkle effect that you currently have at the end

try zooming in on the face every time the eyebrows are raised (3 times)
