Lmao...

That episode was the quickest and most confusing...

Spoiler
Oh hey, there's a guy.

Oh hey, there's a girl.

Oh hey, there's some butterflies.

Oh hey, there's a dog.

Oh s***... What's up with that dog?

Oh hey, that girl is now a rampaging monster.

The end!

Also read up on the manga.

This stuff is DEEP.

Mejico Josh 01-10-2014 09:50 PM

People keep on complaing about it being 4 minutes long bit there is simply no content in the manga. I mean only two mangas have ever been released and it only has 16 chapters so pipe down (also that disection scene in the manga)

Striken 01-10-2014 09:56 PM

It's 4 minutes but let it slide, the content is actually pretty good, if the anime isn't up to your needs than the manga is what you want.

I need some comedy! Anyone recommend anything funny to watch?

Most popular comedy on Graalians seems to be Watamote and My Mental Choices.

Watamote about a antisocial girl's attempt to become popular in her new Highschool. Click for better summary -v
Spoiler
Kuroki Tomoko is a super popular, high school girl who has had 50 years of dating experience and 100 boys... in the Otome game world. In the real world, she is a 15-year-old shut-in who has all of the qualities of a "mojo" (a gloomy or unpopular woman).

However, when school isn't going as she expected, and she isn't as popular as she had thought she was, she takes a look at herself in the mirror for the first time in a few years, and has some shocking revelations...

My Mental Choices is about a guy who is cursed with the absolute choice, a few choices appears in his mind and he HAS to choose one of them. These choices are not normal at all. Click for better summary -v
Spoiler
Kanade Amakusa is a high school student who is suffering from a curse called "Absolute Choices." This curse requires him to select an action from a list of two or three options that appear before him at any time, and has no control over what choices appear. Many of them are weird or perverse and as a result, the curse has tainted his reputation with his classmates and other people around him, making his life very difficult. However, one day, a choice he makes on his way home from school causes a mysterious, beautiful young girl to fall from the sky.

Personally I think you should try Non Non Biyori. It was very liked by people who gave it a try when it came out last season, wasn't popular per say, but I really enjoyed it. It's a slice of life with comedy, a good change of pace from all the drama and action anime. A nice heart warming series with such cute characters
Spoiler
Elementary school student Hotaru Ichijou has moved with her parents from Tokyo to the middle of the country. Now she must adapt to her new school, where there are a total of 5 students in the same class who range through elementary and middle school ages. Join their everyday adventures in the countryside.

I have started watching My Mental Choices, it is absolutely hysterical so far! I plan to watch Non Non Biyori soon, I'm a big fan of the Slice of Life genre.

5hift 01-11-2014 03:21 PM

Seems a little late...

But I've just started Buccano :)

The story in the beginning seems pretty confusing cause' the date jumps around a lot.

But after a while I think I understand the story a bit more.

Liking the series so far.

Myst 01-11-2014 03:33 PM

Baccano* yeah its one of my favorite anime s, same creator as durarara so of course its good xD, It may start off to be a little confusing as the dates do jump a lot but as the story progresses you will come to understand it more.

Mejico Josh 01-11-2014 03:54 PM

Baccano is amazing. One of the best animes ive ever seen

Talon 01-11-2014 10:00 PM

Kuroko no Baske is really cool, recommended to people who like basketball. Animation's pretty solid for a sports anime and the music is great. Fun characters too.

5hift 01-12-2014 01:03 AM

Finished Baccano.

Yup.

Another good series ending is definitely making me depressed again.

Tyler 01-12-2014 01:08 AM

Just finished Beyond the Boundary. I ended up really liking it. I would give it a 9.5/10. I also started Pandora Hearts today. A little spooky so far and I have no idea what is going on, but I am only 3 episodes in so I guess I will find out soon enough.

twilit 01-12-2014 01:38 AM

Nonono, I enjoyed Soul Eater, but mostly for the comedy. But way too much filler. The little action there was was cool. But I just didnt enjoy Blue Exorcist that much.

Ohh ya Pandora Hearts is in my top 10-ish. Very dark twisted parallel to Alice in Wonderland; well not same story, but countless allusions.

Pandora Hearts was really good, but it doesn't really conclude that well and season two still hasn't came out in years. You have to read the manga after.

5hift 01-13-2014 01:22 AM

Started Code Geass.

Again,

Pretty late for me ^.^

Enjoying it so far.

Talon 01-13-2014 02:13 AM

Code Geass is so immersive.

5hift 01-13-2014 02:43 AM

Indeed it is.

Right, this is exactly what I needed...

A good, long series that should last a while for me.

Just noticed the guy who voices Akashi in Kuroko no Basuke is the same guy who voiced Levi in AoT. That guy's voice acting is awesome.

5hift 01-15-2014 08:55 PM

Finished Code Geass R1&2

Lol Lelouch.

You dun goofed.

Mejico Josh 01-15-2014 08:57 PM

I'm watching School Days and Toradora. I'm on my last season of Ally Mcbeal (not an anime, I know) so I should have more time for anime. I'm really into romance and comedy, any suggestions? I like sports too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so, like, if there are any good romcoms and football involved in ittttt, pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee tell me theeeeeeeeeeee seriessssssssssssssssssssssssssss

I haven't really watched a lot of anime except for the good stuff that the Ghibli Studios have produced. I'm really sad that they won't be making anymore moviesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss . I really liked Ponyo, Totoro and Kiki's delivering service. I really wish they made a sequel to any of those movies (or to any of the other films that they've made) :/

Well be prepared for the biggest asshole of a main character, girls who are just bland and meh, boring soundtrack, and average animation make for in all an awful show

The one good thing about is the ending. My god that ending

Blah64 01-16-2014 08:23 AM

The ending of 'School Days' is brilliant though. I heard how bad the show is as a whole beforehand, so I just read the plot summary then watched the ending. I think that was the best course of action.

(It also has some really nice boats)

Talon 01-16-2014 08:31 AM

I'm 8 episodes in Chuu2 and while I'm still watching, I don't understand the hype surrounding it. Doesn't feel like its set apart enough from your typical school anime enough, but I see it talked about everywhere. Hopefully it'll take a turn for the better.

Characters are cute though.

Myst 01-16-2014 11:21 AM

guyz, I dont get thissssssssssssssssssssssss. On wikipedia Toradora is categorised into 3 types: light novel, light novel and manga. It's also marked under anime but I get that part!!! What does it mean by "light novel" and why is it that there are more volumes on the first "light novel" than the manga version and the other "light novel"??? Does this mean that some of the chapters in the light novel are not added into the anime series??

does it mean that I miss out on some chapters if I watch the anime instead of reading the "light novel" or manga version???

Myst 01-17-2014 08:27 AM

In some cases you miss out on parts if you watch an anime adaption of the manga, in this case you miss out on 3 spin off chapters. These 3 chapters are possibly in the anime, you should check the 3 chapters anyway because if you watch the anime you may not recognize it in the manga.

Light novels are the Japanese equivalent to novels, they are usually 40-50 thousand and are usually directed to 13-18 year olds.

Myst 01-17-2014 10:24 AM

The Boondocks (TV series)

Based on the comic strip, Huey and Riley move away from the city and out to the suburbs with their irascible grandfather. Biting socio-political commentary ensues.
An absolutely hilarious show that is a must watch to comedy fans.
WARNING throughout the show there is alot of racism in the form of jokes.

I love Toradora sooooooo much. Its my first anime ever. Do you guys think it will be worth it if I buy a book?? If so, any good sites online lol? :shy:

Well, i doubting you would find anything online, but then again im not too knowledgeable in this topic. Just try searching for things here and there, if you cant find anything look into chapter reviews to find out what it is about because it may be in the anime and you would be buying it for nothing.

Ah, sorry. I meant to put the word 'words' after the thousand. 40-50 thousand words so a reasonable length.

Websites for manga:

If you liked Toradora, you should check out the newer series Golden Time which was originally created by Yuyuko Takemiya, the same person who wrote Toradora. So far the series is pretty interesting as a drama.

Banri Tada is a newly admitted student at a private law school in Tokyo. Due to the after-effects of an accidental fall from a bridge shortly after high school graduation, he lost all his memories from before then. At the time of the accident, Banri's soul had escaped from his body, and the "Spirit of Banri Tada" came into being, carrying his memories from before his mishap.
