Wait am i wrong? I thought i remembered reading about how tokyo ghoul changing a bunch of stuff thats why the character designs are different also cause theres a new director behind the project?

Season two diverged from the source material and it turned out awful. It wasn't that big of a difference considering most of the major events still happen but it just didn't make very much sense.

Thankfully it ended at a point where virtually nothing in that season matters as long as this new season stays faithful to the source material.

S2 went off on its own and tanked hard. It still follows Kaneki becoming a CCG agent after the Owl hunt

I'm excited for episode 4 of tokyo ghoul season 3, seems like things are about to go down

Persona 5: The Animation
Spoiler
Just play the ****ing game.

Golden Kamuy
Spoiler
Seems like a pretty cool show based off the first two episodes. Has uh, some unique cooking in it.

Aikatsu Stars for an idol anime with sorta good cgi, stayed for the chi not the songs or the show tbh

Went in without too many expectations but Satoshi Kon blew my mind.
PB has aged incredibly well and is arguably more relevant than it was a decade ago, would recommend even if you dislike anime as a medium

Man if only the Junji Ito Collection actually managed to capture the same level of creepiness as the manga did.

The animation fell flat on its face, literally.

Pretty bad when 2 episodes of a pink loli makes sao more interesting then whole of first half of sao season 2 with kirito.

I know im kinda late on asking this but what did everyone think of overlord s2 it was kinda meh to me

Overlord s2 was way below my expectations tbh
There was a lack of action and it felt more like a build up for a next season
I’ve been more hyped about the seven deadly sins s2 during it

Anyone here watching Steins Gate; 0? So far it seems really interesting

Also, highschool DxD Hero’s new artstyle looks pretty good

GlazeyB 04-21-2018 07:48 PM

Overlord S2 was meant as world building more than anything else. Introducing races/characters that are not related to Nazarick. It did its job, especially with a S3 that was already planned.

TomatoPanda 04-22-2018 12:43 AM

I still cant believe Madhouse is actually doing a 3rd season of a anime (overlord) and already has the release date in July public

twilit 04-22-2018 01:24 AM

Kinda a strange season right now.. Hero Academia 3, Tokyo Ghoul 3, Food Porn 3.5
Legend of Galactic Heros reboot (is about what I expected, not as excellent as the orig, but not bad at all either); Piano no Mori reboot (is trash); and a new route of Steins;Gate
Its kinda sad when the best new show is an otaku romantic comedy- Wotakoi.

Liz 04-22-2018 02:45 AM

Read a bit of the manga for Wotakoi, it seems alright.

Something pretty good I stumbled across this season (surprisingly) is Hinamatsuri. The synopsis made it seem kind of boring, but I think it's off to a great start. It's supernatural/action/comedy, and it's actually pretty funny.

Aftermath 04-25-2018 12:02 AM

i stared jojo last week and im on part 3 ep 3 and it's pretty nice.
though part 3 does seem a lot weaker than the first 2

[edit]
k stands are starting to grow on me, they make fights a lot more interesting than just screaming/breathing calmly.
jotaro is a butthole though...
