Hmm i just noticed as well. Back when GST was newer, hats looked awesome, US won every time. Now, US doesnt participate so other guilds win, hats look like garbage.

But the part about recent crappy hats is true.

In addition to being in favor of bringing hats for spar and pk back (It's obvious why you should, this coming from someone with less than 2000 spar wins and 20000 pks to fight for the low stat community), I'm also in favor of bringing old hats back as was mentioned. Unsure if this fits in the thread, but it's the closest one that is fitting. Memento Mori hat, many US hats, and other hats I've seen on UN would make for fantastic hat options for both this proposed idea, and as GST hats like before.

I respectfully disagree. I'm not in favor of allowing the prizes of past winners to become prizes for other teams as well. I speak for my team's accomplishments, but I would like to assume that many other GST winners would also feel like they'd be stripped of their medals, or so to speak. The novelty of a hat that only you and your friends sport around Graal is rather priceless, as experienced by many via the 1000 hour tower hats. Its a one-of-a-kind deal upfront, and from my perspective, I think it should stay that way.

GST hats are guild-specific. Not gonna happen.
Scavenging through UN? Not sure if I agree or disagree. I hate seeing Era noobs wearing well-made hats and heads that were made for Classic; Then again, UN is long dead, so idk

Well there's already been a load of hats on iClassic that first appeared on UN, so I guess reaching out and borrowing some more doesn't feel like such a crazy thing to do. I mean its all part of the same game, right? Hell, there are even a bunch of old original Classic hats that haven't been used yet. Maybe someone should put together a folder of possible (existing) hats that would be coveted as prizes.

Just for reference, can someone please post these older hats onto this thread so we can see the kind of hats you guys like? I'm not sure if they can be added as they are, but it would certainly benefit in terms of seeing the kind of hats people like.

I really don't see the point of spar hats. It would just lead to more people qqing, and another example of the more you no-life the more you get rewarded. I'm sorry but this might disappoint some of you guys but we have school/work to go to we don't have time to get 10k spar wins or something like the minority of people that sit in their computer chair all day smashing keys.

I'm being hats should be a reward for something remarkable. 1k Towering takes in team work, and just for you to co-exist with other people on the journey that will take months. Winning GST takes a group of people who build chemistry and team work. Man even 1v1 spar tournament would make more sense out of a hat, but you have people that just no-life and get rewarded? Just sucks.I'm sorry if some of you take this to the heart but this is just my opinion, being a no-life should not be rewarded in my opinion.

Why should tower people get rewards while Sparrers don't? We don't no-life or spar all day for wins either, having 10k wins takes hell of a lot more work than 1k hours on a tower as well so sparrers deserve some sort of reward.

also GST occurs once every 3 months where as towers are all year around so only getting hat through GST isn't really fair especially when it's the same people usually

Tower is always competitive. Sparrers you can just boost of an account in PC Room which rarely has people in it (I've seen it been done) and just camp in spar rooms. Yet again Towering you rely on other people so you can do school/work stuff and then it gets contributed if you are still in the guild where as for sparring whoever stays on the most gets rewarded? Just doesn't seem legit. The only thing I agree is with the 1v1 spar tourney the rest is just nonsense (my opinion)

Towering is noob recruiting and people joining guilds with 600+ hours getting hat and repeating the process, boosting on PC room is easily detectable and people rarely ever do it. Anyone who manages to get 10,000 wins is clearly not a booster and if they were they would be known for it, the point is people who spar should be rewarded for doing something they love just like people who tower.
