Heres one for you all. After watching 6 episodes of psycho pass i would say watch this show right now, defintly the best show of 2013

I wouldn't say the best, but it was really good.

Myst 01-18-2014 04:00 AM

It started strange, it was probably one of the best, under hunter x hunter :).

iChronic 01-18-2014 09:10 AM

niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I found a site to watch animes on but I hard a time looking for good manga sites :D

btw, does anyone know if 'Toradora spin-off' will be eventually made into an anime?

SPOILERSSSSSS

I just finished Toradora lol. I lost all my manliness on the last 4 episodes, man. I was so heartbroken, man. I never knew I was such a 'hopeless romantic'. So much feels guys, like, I am so high from Toradora at 2.49 pm. That **** was deep, I dont think I can even play Graal anymore. That was some serious ****, man.

Spoiler

A bit disappointed at the ending though. I was so heartbroken because I thought Taiga and Ryuiji wouldn't get together... luckily I watched the ending credits lol. I dont usually watch the credits but I was so sad. It was such a relief to hear/watch Ryuiji say "I love you" to Taiga.

edit:
They only kissed once though (in the whole series!!!!!)... kinda disappointed about that (jk, not really). And Taiga didn't say "I love you back" to Ryuiji at the end (I know they will get together and get married and have babies though).

Meganebu! of course. Who doesn't want to watch an anime with a plot to see a woman naked?

http://i.imgur.com/JMZ45p5.png

Oh.

Anyways! The animes I say I would have enjoyed more than Psycho-Pass that were released in 2013:

-Attack on Titan
-Magi: The Kingdom of Magic -Airing-
-Dangan Ronpa

But there were others who tied with the rating I gave Psycho-Pass, but these specifically I enjoy(ed) more. Psycho-Pass didn't finish off with a favorable ending which actually dropped a rank for me. However, since there is apparently a second season coming out, I might consider bumping it up if it was leading to a certain point for the next season. It always seems animes struggle with a good ending. There aren't that many I've seen where I was completely satisfied with an amazing ending.

Myst 01-18-2014 02:48 PM

I never even tried it, tbh looked really boring to me.

The dominator is indeed a cool weapon. In other news, my sister is going to this huge anime convention next Saturday called Ohayocon and I saw the Dealer's Room where people sell all their anime merchandise and now I really want to go.

Psycho-Pass is an anime of 2012 not 2013, since it firsted released on Fall of 2012.

On the topic of favorite anime series of 2013, I would have to go with;
-Non Non Biyori (Something about this series is just so lovable)
-Sunday Without God (Such feels attacks, especially early in the series)
-Gatchaman Crowds (I love the main character)

has anyone heard of Mayo Chiki?

InuKaT 01-18-2014 11:39 PM

I feel like Elfen Lied (pronounced Leed) is a must watch for whoever hasn't seen it.

I'm not sure if it was intended to be German, but Elfen Lied means song of the Fairies or Elves' song.

Ramone 01-19-2014 03:38 AM

Seen elfen lied and probably won't even forget it.....oh gosh. I mean yeah it was good but idk man mixed feelings.

But anyways I'm currently watching a couple animes. HunterxHunter, Golden Time, and Strike the Blood. All very good so far.

Myst 01-19-2014 03:44 AM

hunter x hunter ftw, i didn't like elfen lied at all, too gory and just downright stupid.

The gore ruined the story for me. Little kids picked on a dog, oh look she killed them. Telling her he was going with a boy to the festival instead of a girl, oops, killed your dad and little sister now. Just an increasing amount of violence throughout the series. I forgot what it was even about after watching so much of it. If you asked me for a summary I probably couldn't tell you that much.

Hey Shiz since you're starting here's some titles I'd recommend to you.

Attack on Titan (Must see ^.^)
Sword Art Online
Buccano
Watamote
And Black Lagoon.

These titles should help you figure out what genre you like.

Enjoy!

Often when starting to watch anime, people go for the more popular ones to start, and the most talked about anime these days is of course;
Attack on Titan or in Japanese Shingeki no Kyojin.

Although if you're not a big fan of Gore and just gruesome killing, you should then watch the popular series of 2012, Sword Art Online.

For me I started with the somewhat popular anime, but more popular game, Fate/Zero. Only problem with this series is that it's quite confusing in the first episode if you don't get the main concept of the story, but if you keep watching after the first few episodes, this series gets really good.

Ramone 01-20-2014 08:36 PM

I'm one who watches anime romcoms often but I just didn't watch toradora because I didn't really like how the characters were drawn. idk, just not me.

Yeah I have to say I agree I thought the story was pretty poor and I actually view it as one of the bad animes I have watched.

Anyways I haven't seen anyone post "Heavens Lost Property" (dont know japanese name).

It's one of those easy to watch, funny amines, and it actually has some good content to keep you busy for awhile. (2 , 13 episode seasons, and two movies). Its perverse, it has action, it has deep higher purpose themes about god and the new world and such, and its just pretty entertaining to keep you busy for awhile. The story probably won't stick with you as its more lighthearted, but its entertaining if you just wanna watch without thinking the whole time haha.

I watched it online, but I feel kinda guilty since it was really good and I didn't pay. I might buy it sometime just because I enjoyed it. If you get it and it doesn't have English subtitles then I can link you to a version of it online with subtitles, since you already paid for it.

edit: found the manga on overstock, I think I may order it to read on the bus since I have a 1 hour bus ride to school every day :D I got enough Bitcoin to buy it with, will totally be worth it :P

Does anyone know if the Manga is much different than the anime? Is it complete(all 5 volumes)? I want to read the light novel too, but no one has really translated it except for some website where it is a giant wall of text.

Wait, I don't know if he's referring to the manga or the anime. I'm confused. Anyways even if it has speech recognition, I doubt it would work well coming out of a speaker.
