That's the most hidious way to quit. I thought games were about having the high score and trying to be the best. In this case the kill counts are the high score

I guess, it's fairly unexciting though.

Isn't the idea of games to pass time and have fun? That is what I've always had as an assumption. Why play a game if you're not enjoying it or having fun?
It's not just about the best stats, it's about the journey, the best weapons etc aren't meant for everybody in most games. :)

To make this clear, duke lost all his stuff, including guns, melees, hats and etc.
He also lost his spar stats
Luis kills is reset to 0
Goblin kills is also reset to 0
Anthony never gave his account
Vincey only gave his scnd account
Even if duke have 1 kills im sure u will lose to him

I didn't read every page, but for the record, I did not reset Duke.
He was banned by me for illegally getting items (transfers, scam or whatever, doesn't matter now).
I'm not lenient, I don't care who you are. If you break the rules, you would be banned for it. In my opinion, it doesn't matter if the other players were stupid for giving him their info or not, we can never be sure. How do we know he didn't buy the other player's accounts outside of the game? This is illegal FYI. It is also the reason why we don't allow transfers of items/accounts between different players.

The decision was made to restore him and allow it to happen. It wasn't my call, I don't support it, but as I've stated in the past, it is out of my control. The managers etc dealt with it. If it was favoritism, so be it. What can you do, right?

Some argue, it is better to have him play and keep the player count up, rather than ban him. Please be aware that it could also have negative effects on player count. You may be allowing one player to have "willingness to play" in hopes to keep that player in game and at the same time cause other players to quit due to unfairness. It works both ways.

I am sorry the decision upset most of you, and I completely understand. I did my part, the rest is out of my control.

There are people who play Era for different reasons.
Some are here to socialise with friends, so kills do not matter.
Some are here to build gangs, so base hours matters most.
Some are here for pks, so killa matter most.
Some are here for spars, so spar stats are everything to them.
Some are here to collect rares. so they try their best to collect weapons, melees and rares.
Some are simply here to chill.
Etc.

Clearly here there is a conflict of view points.
Some feel that kills are important simply because they are here to pk, their aim is to get the highest kills. They are the pkers.
If I am not mistaken, the highest kills in Era should originally be Mayu or Ace.
However Duke's merge of accounts upset this rank and now he has the highest kills at 350k due to an illegal merge of account of 150k worth of kills.
Obviously this will upset players who suddenly find their ranks shifted behind. Especially when they try their best to pk and earn every single kill by themselves since they do not have the option to merge any accounts.
Is merging legit? No.

Hence punishment was given.
Duke's spars were resetted and his weapons taken away.
From the management point of view this is fair as this has impaired partially his abllity to play, since he lost his guns and melees. And hence, is a form of penalization.
And he was also unbanned, as if i am not mistaken, reset and bans dont go hand in hand. Is either a ban or a reset.

In my opinion, I would think it is only fair if the kills are resetted as well or at least back to the original around 200k so as not to upset the ranking, and to be fair to players who earn their kills legitmately.

However, the management feel that a removal of all weapons, customs, hats and spars is a severe enough punishment.
Of course, different people would have different viewpoints and reactions to this.
Some feel that is harsh enough, while some feel that is unfair as it's too lenient.

What I can suggest as a best solution, is to enforce a fix set of rules going forward.
For instance, probably state it on Graalians or on iEra, if you steal/scam/illegally merge accounts which do not belong to you, this form of punishment will be dealt.
This would also help to deter players who have the thought of stealing accounts as they are aware of the punishment which awaits them.

And back to the case above, punishment has already been decided and dealt with by higher management.
There is nothing NCJ, or even Snake or Street can do.
If you insist, you can email Snk your views but eventually, it would still be up to him on how he handles the case or whether he feels that he has already handled the situation appropriately.

alright, imma spare the giant speech, hearts did good enough of a job at that but my only real problem here is you guys have said over and over again that scamming is legal, not a bannable offence. so are you saying your banning him for scamming partially? cause that is no grounds for ban. transfers are, i know.
