The move the Smeargle used was Geomancy, Xerneas' signature move. Normally takes two turns to complete but he probably had Power Herb so it was only one turn. Not sure how he survived with 1 HP without a Sash though.

Ah, gotcha. That was a pain in the ass battle though. Once his Dragonite got those stats I was screwed. Good news though. After hatching 4 eggs I got a perfect 6IV Impish Skarmory so now all I have to do is EV train this baby.

EDIT: Ah, nevermind. I forgot about the ability. It had Keen eye.

EDIT #2: Okay. Noooow I have a perfect 6IV Skarmory with Sturdy.

Yeah, it's just because every Galvantula ever runs Focus Sash.

No, I give it bug powder, the move Big Buzz is almost a 1-hit KO with it

Just use Volcarona if you want a Bug attacker. The only reason Galvantula is good is because of Sticky Web.

Welp. I've learned not to use Skarmory in 3v3 Pokemon battles. If it wasn't for sturdy he would have been dead each time. Everyone has some sort of Pokemon to fight against him. I wish I could spend more time trying to find teams this week, but it's been really stressful because of college.

Talon 04-14-2014 06:27 PM

Skarmory's pretty much only good in 6's since his main role is to tank and lay hazards, both of which are ineffective in 3's. I could help you build a team sometime, it's pretty much the only fun I ever have on Pokemon lol

Tyler 04-14-2014 06:48 PM

That would be great. I need to start thinking of some Pokemon I really like that would be good for competitive. I should also have some that can counter those typical tanks and trap layers like Klefki and Ferrothorn. One thing that I never know though is if my opponent is using Pokegenned Pokemon with those max IVs and such. Cheating for a Pokemon is a no no.

I lost to a tank again. Gliscor poisoned himself with a toxic orb to gain health and used roost as well.

EDIT: Yay I beat my best friend/Pokemon rival twice. It was intense. That Mega Kangaskhan was a bitch with those double hits.

Tyler 04-15-2014 02:46 AM

I'm thinking of whether or not to trade my event/legendaries for some legitimate battle ready Pokemon. I mean they're really cool and all, but they're just sitting there in my PC Box. I'd really only use them for legendary battles which I have yet to do so far.

Edit: Eh nevermind. It's just too difficult. I worked hard to trade for these guys.

Yeah, pretty much every Gliscor does that. It dies to any Ice move or any decently strong Special attack, even if neutral though. Just be careful of its Sub / Protect rotation.

Also tell your friend he's a noob ):< Mega Kangaskhan is so ridiculously strong. At one point it sat above Yveltal, RayQ and non-Mega Mewtwo in viability. Well, Smeargle also is higher than Rayquaza, but oh well.

Yeah... The double hit thing is pretty cheap considering the Pokemon itself also has very few weaknesses. I get really discouraged when I run into people with 1 hit KO Pokemon. I fought a guy who 1 hit KO'd my Greninja with his Greninja (mine has 355 speed btw) with grass knot, even though he only weighs 88.2 pounds. Then he killed my Dragonite in one hit with ice beam. Luckily Talonflame killed him, but was murdered by Mega Kangaskhan.

Talon 04-15-2014 08:32 AM

Whenever Greninja KOs any of your Pokemon, bring in Smogonbird. Brave Bird always outspeeds and KOs it. Maybe also bring Will-O-Wisp against Kang, WoW destroys it. Mega Lucario is also a textbook check and counter, outspeeding and KOing with Close Combat as long as it already M.Evolved. M.Lucario is considered Uber by Smogon (banned for competitive use, like M.Gengar and M.Kang) so you may be frowned upon.
