I just watched this Studio Ghibli film, directed by Hayao Miyazaki's son, and scripted by Hayao himself last night called From Up on Poppy Hill, it gave me the feels so check it out if you're interested.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a dramatic anime. Recently watched a really controversial and dramatic one and now it's stuck in my head >_>. it was great and really changed the way I looked at things/was really emotional. I kind of want to get it off of my mind so I'm hoping for a different one. Anyone know of any dramatic animes? I'd prefer if it was realistic(not fantasy), too.

How dramatic? Any romance wanted/needed?

Dramatic is a broad term, what kind of drama?

Aku No Hana, if it isn't the one you're describing.

Do you reccomend any? I've seen Ponyo and I loved it as well as poppy hill.

(not that this was directed at me, but) All of them.

Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke (this is my favourite, watch it), Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind and Howl's Moving Castle are some of the best, along with Laputa: Castle in the Sky. The Secret World of Arrietty, Kiki's Delivery Service and My Neighbour Totoro are cutesy and you'd like them if you liked Ponyo. Grave of the Fireflies is the saddest movie of all time. Expect to cry.

Optional, I wouldn't mind it at all.

I don't mind if it's NSFW either, but if it is please warn me beforehand.
