Im pretty sure US would win considering the fact that most of the members of US came from Graal v6, something you need a PC to play on, and mixed sparring is device and facebook (pc) sparring, right? Says a lot.

Wtf are u talking about? lol yes a lot of US players came from Graal client.
Thallen, Dante, Mk(probably) came from PC graal too and I am pretty sure Alumni mixed are using Flash client (Skyrider) for sparring.
but doesn't convince me that US can beat Alumni in the GST.

US probably has more history than any other guilds out there and players are more experienced, but sparring is a simple hand eye coordination, we all reach a limit it after awhile of sparring.

He left cause he thought he was going to quit the game due to school, he gave his guild Christmas cards saying "gl in gst. I hope you do good." Then after Christmas, Aguzo joins war to do scrims, and Inevitable tells Aguzo to check thallen's guild house signs. Aguzo gets on alumni tag, checks the signs, "Following will be kicked: inactives + aguzo". Aguzo doesn't know why, so he decides to leave, cause thallen doesn't really care nor explains why. He was most likely going to leave anyway, since he didn't feel like doing gst anymore (12 gst wins), and would be a waste of space for the guild.

Not sure what the reasons were, but probably due to:
1. Blocking members.
2. Beating someone in 1v1 spar.
3. Telling someone that pking/sparring to "xxxxxxx" would be a waste of time.
4. Joining War guild.
5. Too much of a downer, he would bum out others with his life problems.
6. He is a weird person, I heard he talks in third person...

Yeah some personal issues involved here and there. It always happen. This game is full of drama.
I like Aguzo as a gamer. He's the first person to show me how to spar with ps controllers.
He's one of sparrer that is legitimately good in this game. Knows how to push-and-pull in spar.
Great improvement from idev to PC. Uses variety spar skills and good at tricks. Very proud.
Makes decent Youtube videos with interesting/funny silly topics.
I hope you go well with your new guild WAR.

And their mixed cores are Thallen, Colossus, Mk, Aguzo, Eko.

if original US mixed vs. Alumni mixed, Alumni will win.

u can argue with me.

US would win easily. you just listed the cores for alumni, how could you support that? "aguzo, eko" is in it, eko is probably the single worst somewhat-relevant pc sparrer in this game, and i actually 100% mean this, he is really bad. no idea why anyone would ever put him as a core on a winning team.

meanwhile in US, the members were much stronger. i mean, ares/rashard? prado/mr magnetic? david, unleash, etc...

this shouldn't be a question.

I wasn't really around or knew about sparring when US had its golden age. That's why I want to question more, because I don't know how good they are. They dominated iClassic when we were a noob, but can they dominate now? New sparrers have significantly improved over a year. Yeah some boosted and run around rooms back and forth to keep their ratio, but there are people that doesn't do that crap and face really hard ones. I think it's not like before.

Yes, their experience of skills won't just go away in a sparkle of snap. 11 GST wins total like holy crap.
But I don't think they can handle this 'delay & lag' that plays a significant roles in the GST. There are many international GSTs all around Graal, more internationals = more acceptable lag and delays that we can't resolve.

I still respect all those oldbies, our role model classic players. But their age has gone.

But their age has gone.

no no no, their age has increased. Most of them are reaching 30 :D

It's "their time has passed"

If the GST was every month like in the beginning other guilds would have more GST wins and more consecutive wins(probably Mother and Alumni)

don't think you realize this but with the exception of aguzo and eko, the "alumni core members" you listed have been playing with the US pc players for an extremely long time, don't know exact numbers but i can safely say for at least five years. "their age" is the same age, they basically reached their peak a while ago, and the peak of the US members was better than the peak of the alumni members. aguzo and eko will never be anywhere near as good as them either. you're talking like they "can't keep up with the times" or something. maybe this could be an argument for the old idevice players since the spar community has "evolved" on our little app, but you can't really say this for these pc players who have been playing for a long time with a fully evolved sparring community. at my peak, i couldn't beat prado and had trouble with rashard. apparently i've fallen off since then according to the nobodies in the battle arena who i can still doninate, and i still don't struggle against your alumni cores. US >>>>> alumni.

I don't think Thallen, Dante, Mk played iClassic when US GST was at their peak.

If you don't mind checking this link out. I found this dude awhile ago when I was looking for NJ & UN on Youtube. As you can see these clips are 3 years+ old. Thallen and his Enguard members were at their peak when US members were owning GSTs in iClassic.

Yeah Aguzo and Eko can get rekt by US members. But US members can get rekt by international GSTs, cause they aren't used to fight against delayers.

Don't underestimate anyone. Titles and guilds don't mean anything. You'd be surprised just how good some people get over a short period of time.

You missed my point.

Comyt and I are just making some hypothesis here. He thinks that you and eko sucks and won't be as good as US first tier members.

I'm proving a point that US members won't be able to digest all international delay, lag, whatever it is. They won't be able to digest it all in one day. But you and Eko can, cause you guys been around here so long, faced various type of sparrers.

Like you remember Jigsaw? She was using double device method to spar. If she were about to vs a US member. She will win, cause she delay like *** and all.

But you are the only one from Graalians that beat her, that's because you are good at handling variety types of sparrers.

Colin 02-01-2015 12:08 AM

Beating laggers and such is extremely easy Zet, these people are really good at sparring they obviously have the capability to adapt new techniques on the go that is what made them so good in the past.

Another strange Alumni vs. US conversation filled with misinformation, gossip, lies, theoreticals, etc.

I'd actually love to face off against whoever US's best Mixed GST team was, even if it included Enguard or Alumni members. All of them are my friends, and unlike the majority of this forum they don't get all wound up and dramatic over sparring, so it'd be enjoyable. It'll never happen, but the speculation and many of these posts are very entertaining and funny.

The likelier scenario of people like me, Ares, Crono, David, Unleash, Prado, Dante, Brett, etc. all being online at once and actually caring about sparring would be that we all go in a GH and spar for fun. I'm pretty sure just about everyone on that list prefers the singles or TT format over the GST. Sorry that it'll never end up being this weird and malicious "beef" that some of you desperately want it to be...

I play League semi-actively with Ares, Prado, Highlander, Rygor, Deophite, and a few others, and they're way that game now. Pretty sure they couldn't care any less about this one. R.I.P. to your dreams.
