Hang in there guys. The development is slow due to our small team. We're working side jobs right now to pay our bills, so there isn't as much time available to work on FF as we'd like.
It's still all I ever think about, so don't lose faith. You guys are the first ones I will tell whenever anything big happens again. I post here before I post on the steam greenlight page.
Also to wolfie, there won't be an offline mode.. but there will be plenty of things to do by yourself in the game so you don't have to fight in arenas. Relaxing in the city is something I would love to see people doing, so there will be plenty of events to keep people busy outside of the arenas. Roleplay will be rewarded in many ways.
