Another is a good series from what I've heard, Eccentric Family is a underrated show, Hanasaku was well received.


Black Lagoon to be replaced by Hellsing Ultimate

Both are really good and the dubbed version for Hellsing Ultimate is getting finished pretty soon.

The smell of censorship is strong.

Another is a better comedy than horror and i suppose that says it all, i forgot that P.A Works made Eccentric Family so ill give you that but ive never heard of Hanasaku

Crazy horror **** happens in Another so unless you're some freaky, sadistic person I wouldn't consider it "comedy".

Most of the deaths are flat out stupid. Running down the stairs and tripping before impaling your neck on the spike of an umbrella. About to tell the main character some important plot point before you have a random heart attack for no apperent reason. Escaping from a burning mansion and having just surivied a chandelier you attempt to escape before a pillar says "nope" and flaunts you.

Horror never works in anime at all, its the only genre ive seen that just does not work

Craziest **** ever. In fairness, Corpse Party made absolutely no sense to me either.

There's some good horror anime out there, Monster and Hellsing come to mind.

Hellsing is just really gory, dont get me wrong i love Hellsing Ultimate but i was never scared, just felt uncomftable at it. Ive not watched Monster yet (i know, i know that ill need to watch it)

Another may have had a bigger effect on me if i cared about the characters. The problem is i really never cared for them

Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo actually takes place before the events of Sword Art Online. Sorata (voiced by the same person as Kirito), is inspired to become a game creator. Later in the future, his intelligence/creativty, along with Mashiro's artistic skills create Sword Art Online. Corrupt from the passing of Mashiro during a test run of the Nerve Gear, Sorata goes under a different identity as Akihiko Kayaba. He finishes the world him and Mashiro created to bring the same fate Mashiro suffered to the players.

Atleast it's safe to say however that Accel World is the future of SAO since they actually talk about the Nerve Gear being ancient.

Subjective if you ask me.
I could say the same thing about romance anime, just because I dont like it. There are tons of appreciable horror anime (again subjective; imo). Monster is my favorite anime (currently reading the manga). Hellsing Ultimate, Claymore, Elfen Leid, Shiki are also really good, off the top of my head.

I just realized, they have to be airing the Roberta's Blood Trail OVAs to fill the gap between that date and now.
