I shall. Now I just need my old buddy Tyranitar back. I traded him when I was newer to breeding because his stats weren't the ones I was aiming for.

EDIT: I'm not missing out because I don't have fire fang right? I probably should have had that as an egg move before I did this just in case. If not, I'll stick with Iron Head.

Nah, Fire Fang is pretty meh. The moves I would recommend are Swords Dance (or Substitute) / Play Rough / Sucker Punch / Iron Head (or Focus Punch if you're using Substitute)

That's good. I'd have to go through all that work all over again. That Swords Dance worked really well against Omastar. He thought I was going to use Sucker Punch, but instead I set up Swords Dance. I probably should have used Sucker Punch after that since he got my health down to 7, but at least I won!

ugh back from... school

I don't get why some people say Mega Scizor is useless. Without a fire attack he's a tough bastard to kill with that DEF/SP. DEF. and Roost. I've lost to him twice now.

Talon 06-03-2014 04:17 PM

Mega Scizor is really strong, where are you hearing this :|

He's generally outclassed in an offensive scouting role by Band Scizor, outclassed in pure wallbreaking and bulky offense by LO Kyurem-B and in a priority role by Smogonbird and Mega Pinsir, but he's a potently strong threat with great balance on offense and defense. He's actually more physically defensive than Skarmory, the god of "physical attacks dgaf". And with a Swords Dance boost, he's far from a weak attacker.

Only things holding him back are the fact that he's hardcountered by Smogonbird and Aegislash (wow these two wreck everyone ban pls) and lack of a strong STAB to abuse that attack stat. His Bullet Punch is indispensible for destroying all Fairies not named Klefki - even Mawile is killed because unless it has Fire Fang/Fire Blast (it won't), it can't touch Scizor due to both STABs resisted and Sucker Punch failing due to being outsped.

Oh and Tyler I guess you could run Fire Fang if this guy screws you but I don't think its worth giving up a STAB for coverage against a select few.

I looked it up and saw some comments saying he was one of the weaker mega evolutions from GameFAQs. I'll stick with the Iron Head since it's helped me take out some other threats. I just think it's harder to deal with him in a 3v3 battle if I didn't select the right Pokemon to counter him with. Even DDance Dragonite only did a small amount against him. It just got me thinking whether or not I should use Choice Band or the Scizorite when I decide to do battles with him. With Swords Dance/Roost he looks like he could be a good wall.

EDIT: I've actually been doing really well today. I think I've only lost twice. Although, I've been disconnected on at least 5 times now. It's really sad people can't take a loss.

Isn't Spore a little cheap? It has 100% sleep accuracy when all other sleep inducing attacks have at last 80% or below.

Talon 06-05-2014 02:58 AM

Grass-types aren't affected by it so it's essentially a free switch. Neither is anyone with Overcoat. And the only people to get Spore (Amoonguss, Breloom, Smeargle IIRC) are super slow.

Ah, that makes more sense. I guess I should have someone who is prepared to counter that in case I run into it again in 3v3. It's rare though. I actually probably just need something that can break Smeargle's focus sash.

Talon 06-05-2014 03:20 AM

A fast Taunt renders lead Smeargles (aka all Smeargles) useless too. Breloom doesn't care about Spore and can OHKO through Sash with Bullet Seed. It can also setup Swords Dance in Smeargle's face.

Talon 06-07-2014 02:42 AM

how to wreck Smeargle:

- lead with a fast Taunt
- if it gets in safely, Breloom for big sweeps

That was pretty cool. I forgot about taunt too since I never use it. I should probably throw it on at least one of my Pokemon.

You could use a pokemon w/ prankster and immediately stop any threats like that.

Those remakes are looking beefy 0.0

Bump

I'm looking for some trades and I have some things to offer. I have a Rash + Protean + Level 1 Froakie, an Adamant + Rock Head + Level 1 Aron, a Modest + Blaze + Level 1 Cyndaquill, and a Jolly + Run Away + Level 1 Aipom. If you're interested in any of these, hit me up with a pm and we can make some arrangements.
