Question for Americans, how are LGBT people oppressing you because you're exercising your first amendment, I thought it means to have the freedom of speech without being punished by the government for what you say. (Which many countries really need btw)

I don't think anyone sane feels they're being oppressed by it.

1. Don't believe everything you see in the media.
2. The majority of Americans don't care about the stuff the media says they do/should care about.
3. The United States is obsessed with religion. The Constitution protects religious freedom (Satanism, for example, is protected by law and is even tax exempt), which is why people care so much about religion. A lot of religions are against homosexuality, as I'm sure you are aware, so it's kind of a big deal to them if the government is telling them to get over it.

Why is everyone on the funny moments thread always so sensitive? I come here to laugh
