I like the ice idea (*cough* still really want speed skating to come back), but one of the downfalls of a mobile flag is pretty much always gets stuck in a corner (bottom-right 90% of the time).

To much space, no flag room, annoying 1 hit take and hows it a box fort??

I like the ice idea too lol! Anybody wants to know why I'm not on the box fort anymore? Frankly I want to do so many things with that. I really can't understand what dusty is doing, I think he's average crazy and his mind is so close to many things, right? I started sparring about a month ago because Box Fort is terrible and you know someone keep banning me for 4K hours. Don't give him any ideas because it's his job! I won't think for him, sorry! I just liked the ice idea and that aquatic ecosystem lol.

Here are my thoughts on the Ice Tower at Box Fort™
I absolutely love this design. The mayhem, the death, the freezing, the explosions! :D Everyone and anyone may acquire an advantage in this kind of design, and I especially love the ice blocks and TNT ice blocks that can be used to completely rek hordes of attackers if given the opportunity. It's a very big fighting space, I like it. It would be unwise to spam, as there are a lot of flanking opportunities, as well as chances to freeze or explode your enemies. Nobody ever stops moving, and it makes it even more exciting to tower in. My only major issue is the flag, it usually always gets stuck in a corner and is very difficult to freeze due to the masses of players pking and trying to hit the flag. Like others have mentioned, it's probably a better idea to change the shape of the whole room, most have suggested circular. This way, the flag will never stop moving and players will need to create some sort of barricade to stop it, making it easier to hit the flag. The idea of using a shovel to create snow that will act as a barricade could be cool, as it would open up more defensive opportunities. Of course the snow should melt down and should be easily destroyed by swords/bombs/lanterns, etc. The idea of sliding around on the ice would give the tower another unique aspect. Sliding around while having to fight enemies could pose a challenge for everyone, and would require players to get used to it. The problem with this is that it would probably make it more difficult to hit the ice blocks into other players, or even the flag, but I digress. This could make everything even more rewarding, and I get a very rewarding experience utilizing the ice and TNT around me to take the tower. It's exactly what I want in a tower, and it's completely improvisational. I've seen many skillful players use the ice and TNT blocks to dominate the playing field, and it's buying the whole team enough time to take the flag, or even buy enough time for the defenders to get back into the flag room after dying to defend the flag. I haven't had this much fun towering since I had a guild to tower at MoD with. This would be an exceptional tower for Snowtown, if that's ever a possibility. |
The issue with room shape is it would require more complex physics for bouncing the flag against non-perpendicular walls. Not saying it can't be done but that I don't have time to implement that right now, especially when I'm not sure it will actually fix the problem. I knew the trapping it into the corner was an issue but didn't have time to implement a fix, but I'm glad people are enjoying it!

Haven't tried it out yet but does the icy floor allow me to skate around like the old snow tower and move extremely fast?

Nope. Would be cool though Overall I really like this tower design, it's really fun to use the ice blocks and bomb blocks as it adds another feature that makes it unique. Possible addition: adding a timer to the bomb blocks that starts counting down once it's been hit once. No real purpose, and it's fun either way. |
Could the AFKs in the cell get moved from the cell? there like 15 AFK in one cell and 2 people have to pull of the work from 17.
I like it that the Flag mostly gets cornered, the attackers have to corner the Flag and the defenders need to avoid that. |

Overall, this is a good layout and I like its mechanics. |
Wouldn't make sense if players rush thru the sword tho, I like the fact that you're still able to hit when your sword is outside.
