Is it weird that my favorite part of online is the spectating mode? Its so fun to bet on players with gold and root them on.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS has sold more than 2.8 million worldwide

Have you guys tried cruel smash? Now that's a challenge lol

Wow. November 21st for the Wii U is earlier than I expected. I thought that it would be released around Christmas. How many here are getting it for the Wii U? I can't wait to use Gamecube controllers again for it.

I'm gonna get it for the Wii U too but does anyone know what the differences are? I didn't look into it really. I mean obviously graphics but is there anything else?

Different stages, different exclusive modes (3DS has smash run, Wii U's isn't announced yet) different control options (Gamecube controller adapter!!)

Well honestly there's huge differences, obviously the screen controller. From what I've heard the Wii U currently has an internal memory of about 1.5 GB while the regular Wii from Nintendo has about 512 MB, almost half as less as the New Wii. The new improved disk drive runs on Blue Ray Tech, but does not support DVD currently. The mobile controller allows you to play wii games without the actual T.V./Monitor.

Although The new Wii is a follow up of the Original, the Wii U does offer more options and updates for Games :)

I'm going to be doing nothing but sm4sh when it comes out on wiiu cause of DAT GAMECUBE REMOTE. If only the adapter would allow actual gamecube remotes then i could whip out my ol ghetto remote that i have been playing smash bros and gamecube on for 13 years.

I'll be playing on the Wii U. Still no L-canceling or wavedashing in this one unfortunately. The new edge grab mechanic will be fun to stratagize around this time! Are recovery times still slow or are they quicker for a more fast paced style? (to anyone who has played or seen much gameplay)

Jester Lapse 10-09-2014 08:59 PM

they are quicker than brawl

CM 10-10-2014 02:21 PM

I've started using Yoshi, and now that he stands upright he's actually pretty good. The only downfall he has is that he doesn't have much of a recovery move other than his super high doublr jump and his horizontal egg roll.

Many people are saying Yoshi is going to end up in the high tiers (A, A-, etc.) What so you guys think?

Ugh, there's so many people online that have perfect reaction times, if they find one opening in what you do they open up this giant combo and screw you up. Its so nerve wracking, having to play against these people that are so fine tuned to their character. My mind just can't process all this insanely fast frame by frame information this quickly and plan these elaborate combos, defensive moves and strategies all in less than a second.

Its like playing chess, only each move takes less than a second. Ugh.

Which fighter do you use?

My fix is I join custom only games and use defensive items with my fighters. You just gotta remember to use your shield when you can and do smash runs and classic runs for customization items, they'll save your life in real competitive matches.

A part of me wants it to be a more open-world focused version of smash run with more diversity in how the maze works and combat.

Btw for anyone who plays it a decent bit, is anyone else pissed off by the damn head-grabbing metroids? I can't kill them with any fighter and evading them is difficult af.
