Not really, it's just a mature and very ecchi series, it shows the "oppai" nothing much beyond that. Just a huge fanservice series.

Took a swing at Oreshura. Pretty standard harem comedy.

Good series. Main character isn't clueless and actually knows they like him, but however, refuses to do anything.

The thirteen episode season, once again, takes the series down because they don't have enough time for every character and really care for them. Still, if you got nothing else to watch. It's a nice change.


I demand this thread be renamed Pet Girl of Sakurasou and other anime.

That was pretty much my first harem and let me say, never again. It was a good anime, but I can't stand the fact he's bouncing around between all these different girls. I personally feel he belongs with his childhood friend whom he has spent his life becoming a doctor for rather than that gray haired girl (forget the name it's been awhile) who I felt was bitchy to him most of the anime.

Yeah, that's the harem genre for you. They don't go down anyone's routes at the finish because they have multiple routes for manga, or simply that's how the manga went.

I was planning on watching Date A live the first episode was a bit odd for me so I put it on my maybe list, I watched both infinite stratos, attack on titan, Fairy Tail, Rosario vampire, Magi (Favorite action related anime), Baka no Test, Kore wa zombie desu ka (Really funny) I love the necromancer,Sword art Online loved it, Chaos;head, Highschool dxd and Angel beats!(Which I never or will I ever plan on finishing because I love the anime too much to ever think I finished it).

It's a cartoon about a kid who has a morpher, which makes him 10+ kinds of aliens.
It's actually really deep for a cartoon.

Watch the prequel of Fate/Stay Night, Fate/Zero. It's 100x

Actually anyone who wants a beautiful and very well done action anime should watch Fate/Zero. Fate/Zero has just amazing action scenes compared to F/SN and everything is just done with alot more quality.

Fate/Zero is mainly about 7 Mages who compete in a war for the holy grail which can grant any wish. Each mage summons a servant who is a legend in the past, from king Auther to Alexander the Great and other heros. Each servant is placed under the category Saber, Archer, Lancer, Rider, Caster, Berserker and Assassin, making each servent use a different style of fighting to kill each other in a tag team battle with their masters.

What makes Fate/Zero more unique than other action series imo is thair characters. Each character was different and unique compared to one another, and weren't all highschool students like F/SN.
The focus on the characters got me hooked, they never focus on soley the main character, heck the main character only had slightly more focus compared to all the other characters. They built a bond between each character and how they each interact with one another, viewing all their goals and personality, givingeach character tons of character development.

The only downsides to Fate/Zero which otherwise would've been one of those "Master Piece" is that they spent 40 minutes of the first episode explaining what is going on. The first episode is boring but crucial to the story and it's worth watching it to see the epicness of the rest of the series.
The other downside is that because Fate/Zero was released after F/SN, they had to adjust the series to match what happens in F/SN, which really lowered the quality of the series at only one point.

Well you will be happy to know that ufotable (who made fate/zero) are remaking fate/staynight which if its on the same level as fate/zero. It will be anime of the year

Yep, and it's going to be an original story, not an adaptation from the game, but the guy who made the game is making the new story for the new Fate/Stay Night. This gotta be good.

Not really, Anime rarely at all takes influence from cartoons, and many cartoons don't take inspiration from anime, but the few cartoons that do are considered Japanese influenced animation. Not cartoon, but not anime, just an animation similar to anime.

Alot of anime that is aimed at the west defintly uses influence from whenever the art style or just how western countrys react to tv (the west are very heavy on gritty, drama shows) and the best example i can give you is monster or in my eyes and even bigger one is the recently airing space dandy in which is obiviously being dubbed firet and has alot of western comedy in it

That's how Japan views it, we (the west) view it and define it as something that comes strictly from Japan.

Last Airbender, Korra are what I consider American anime. (RWBY is widely accepted to be anime).

Only reason why this debate exists is simply because people believe Japan will lose part of it's cultural identity if we were to accept Non-Japanese animations as anime.

Why on earth did you watch 11/13 episodes of Angel Beats, drop it, and give it a 10? Also, Guilty Crown is a masterpiece. There isn't a soul out there who doesn't like it.
