PC Graal still has this, and the reason there are (mostly) no abusers on PC Graal are:
there are never more than 120 people on a server;
the PC Community isn't made out of trolls are mentally challenged kids.
If you have 1600 players on a server I'm pretty sure 100(+++++) will glitch, or violate the rules while no staff is online. And, no offense, but the iServers are having a lot of glitches which annoy other players, example: using bombs/arrows/food while sparring, iClassics.

This is al because PC Graal was abandoned and isn't really used to play Graal, only develop. Back in the day, we hardly had abuser issues.

Showing which admin is online has positive's and negative's aspects. I dislike the idea to show which admin is online. Just use the feedback option, write an email or ask these players which staff account is online most of the time (Xor and Rufus). Asking a GP or a GAT what to do if your account has been stolen is pretty useless, all they can do is saying 'I don't know' or 'email your issue to [email protected]'.

I would say give it a trial run and see how it goes. It can't hurt to test drive it, and if it doesn't work in the way intended it can simply just be removed.

It can hurt, if you invent something like this, people may use the chance to explore new glitches/bugs/hacks while knowing that no admin is online.

Showing you are staff for even a split second ends up with a handful of friend requests and PMs. I'm not exaggerating. If I'm on the overworld and accidentally take off my invisibility for a quick second it's like people have the fastest reactions in the world.

If we're supposed to use feedback, what's the point of having more PRs/GPs?

A GP/PR is supposed to patrol and to punish these who break the rules.

The point of being a Graal Police is to help people.

You help them by checking the reports and feedbacks. If someone has a question he should feedback it, a GP should check them, too. After that, he can PM the player.

As Dusty pointed it out, you would get spammed. This would interrupt your work.

Yea, and people spam the feedback also. Another question: Why are they allowed in-game if all they need to do is check feedback?

Craig 02-05-2013 11:41 PM

Every staff should check the feedbacks from time to time, since they'fe feedbacks. A GP needs to check reports mainly, because if anyone's violating the rules, a GP must punish them. Also, a GP needs to patrol because not everyone knows how to use the report-function. Nevertheless, a GP doesn't only punish people, they help with answering questions too. But PMing a staff and asking him or her something is somethin else, because your question(s) determind who to PM, you can't PM a Graphics Staff asking for what scrpits the server is using, you understand?

Go and spam the feedback and tell me what happen.

So the show staff GUI should only be for GPs.

There would be no hassle if you'd enable the showstaff command, or even better, add an online staff GUI.

Not sure about other servers, but on iClassic it used to exist as showadmin, but it got removed once they realized people were using it to see when there were a low number of admins online so they could glitch.
