A new tileset doesn't magically fix gameplay that just doesn't work well. A new tileset shouldn't be priority; the priority whould be something to actually go back to.

Tbh, im kind of happy with the 100 players so far. Yeah it's nowhere near as large as iEra or iClassic's playerbase but taking into consideration that these two servers have had atleast 2 years to build a loyal playerbase, the fact Zone was underdeveloped when it was released (in my opinion) and that when Matt left Zone had approximately 30 - 50 players a day, 100 players is good enough for me right now. Plus, the updates that are continuously in development and the new management is sure to push the playercount further.

Swish. Three pointer, team Reece. It's a work in progress; it was released prematurely and is still in development. Some understand this and are okay with a low playercount. Hell, PC servers thrived for years on playercounts below 200 and nobody complained. It's not a bad thing, and it certainly is not a failure. It is a work in progress. Wait for the end product before letting your "now now now" mentality to take over. There is no room for uninformed "scrap it" ideas and heinous put-downs.

EDIT: and no, Seabiscuit, I'm not looking for a fight. I'm just a naysayer. To the contrary, I am encouraging him to convince me otherwise. Treat it not as an argument, but as an opportunity to make your point. If you really want your idea to sell, convince your opposition to buy. It is apparent that he hasn't a leg to stand on with making a suggestion as spineless as this. If the only response is to point out my lack of support, with no attempt made to defend his idea, then yes, it looks headed toward a flame war. Trust me, I'll back out before it gets to that point ;-).

Don't doom your "brain blast" by turning it into a flame thread.

Linkin Park and JayZ risked their fanbase by collaborating. Some liked it, some hated it. Do you think loyal JayZ fans would appreciate if he made nothing but LPJZ collaborations?

The fact that you found a way to make both a Jimmy Neutron and a LP/JZ Collision Course reference in the same post is simply genius for one of your first posts. +rep, and you now have my respect.

Hey man, and this is coming from a fellow gfx artist. As much as I would love a new tileset, it will not lead to new things. You start with 'New Things' from ideas and then work your way down. At the moment the main problem is not the tileset. (while many do not like it) it Is important to focus on content and then eventually after the content is made begin to fix up gfx and bad looking objects.
Instead focus making graphics for new quest or features players can try.

What Zone needs is some exploration, Zone is the only server I know of that is just one area that is filled up with shops everywhere. There are no places to explore or interact with unless your doing some sort of minigame like a mission, pvp arena battle, or a spar. However, on other servers like Classic and Era, the GMAP isn't 100% all shops and stores. There are actually a few nice landscapes to venture to, but in Zone it's one big space station with nothing to do besides minigames. Fixing this could cause Zone to probably be more successful than it's current state.
