I'm going to actually contribute. Your shading and contrast is mediocre at best. You seriously need to improve that if you even want to consider turning that "thing" into the server. You're over looking a lot of small details as well. Things like car windows and the police sirens are done very poorly and need shading (I don't even see windows btw). Also, if you were curious pillow shading is not shading. I recommend seeking some graphics tutorials online for guidance on how to properly shade and add reflections, basic stuff like that. If you were to put that car into the game at it's current state you wouldn't even be able to depict the different colors you tried to implement, USE MORE CONTRAST. Learn from my words because at this moment your car doesn't even compete with the current one.

you should draw a pig in the hood of the car

Oh sweet lawdy lawd Jesus

Still prefer the old one.
Looks more neat and realistic. |

You need more contrast, the car looks like a square, and it looks like used a tool for the edges. The small things need more details, and how do people drive without the window x X. Your car looks flat, while the car era has now looks 3-dimensional. |
Oh lord. Not this guy again.
What most people fail to understand, is that the original setting of Era is during the Al' Capone era. Even though staff have implemented random crap that's taken it as far as possible from this theme, that is what Era was meant to be. Thus, the old Police Car is perfectly fitting. Personally, I'd drive the old one over that box with sirens any day. |
I like the leather seats more than seeing the car from a complete overhead angle.
Graal really is not seeing things from a complete overhead angle. If you ever think about it, you are seeing everything from a slightly tilted 'angle'. Such as instead of seeing just the rooftops of building because your looking from the sky in a 90 degree angle down, you see much of the front of the building. Same with people, if you were looking straight down on graalians, all you would see is the top of their hair (for the most part). Same goes with cars and the majority of other graphics. It throws things off if you throw in graphics like the car you made, because you can see every part of the top of the car, so it looks boxy and unrealistic compared to everything else. Furthermore, even if it was normal to create graphics with a complete overhead angle, the tail lights do not look like tail lights would look if they were pixeled correctly. They would be much shorter since tail lights are short in width but long in the vertical length. Think about that. With heavy editing (and removal of pillow shading) you could probably create something worthwhile for era here. |

Too flat, too ridged, too dark, can't even see windows, looks like it's been chiseled out of a solid block of coal, edges need to more round and a real police car looks better than any of these.

So I need to add more distinct layers of shading to the car?
Also, would it be okay to add a light source to the roof which would carry out the shading for the rest of the car? If I do this, how should the windows be affected? |
The windows need to be an entirely different color from the rest of the car.
Contrast lad. Try light blue. |
Alright

Dont forget what I said about how graal represents the angle of view. Showing the taillights as they are now is way too boxy and toy-like in order to be added to the server. |
Hey, if we could keep this thread on topic and not insulting noroup, I would appreciate it. I don't want to have to close it.
