that's why whenever I create a head I make it say "Sicx" like all over lol

The only problem with that is that you're ugly now. I think it is just best to upload heads that are more unique, and dont look like the typical graalian head.

There should definitely be a way of adding the artists name to the graphic. This would at least give credit to the maker. Couldn't this then be used when someone uploads? The original creator could get the message asking if they give permission?
Idk.

Once you upload it, it's the property of Graal Online, not you.

It's the fact that stealers claim that they made the gfx is what bothers a lot of people. It's true: once you upload it to the server, it technically belongs to the server, but still, nobody has the right to claim that they made it. Nothing to do with ownership.

We can either not allow customs uploads at all

This please.

Blueh 07-01-2014 10:20 AM

I get really confused when guys wear super feminine heads with that kitty face and long hair and **** and it looks better than some of the female heads and I'm sure someone tried to hit on one of these people at least once without knowing.

If someone 'steals' your head, be flattered. It's basically saying they like your work, sometimes to the extent of claiming it as their own.

Didnt see this until Aaron quoted. but YES. Custom uploads was the first of Classic's Two Worse Decisions ever made (the second being the creation of the "FB Server" <no comment>).

the following is a rant. Half of which is my own opinion, half of which is not really opinion, but the popular opinion (meaning half of this is just exaggerating/trolling)
Spoiler

Spoiler
I wont go on and on about the eye-irritating horrible gfx, the disgust of graphics stealing and recoloring, edits of edits of an original, gifs, rainbows, :3 faces, miley cyrus heads, or the fact that the crap ton of caches eats ipod memory like american obesity, but

The introduction of custom head and body uploads meant the end of selling heads and bodies in shops around the overworld. (Besides the fact that this increased the volume of image files on the server and caches on iDevices by a billion-fold), this meant graphics staff no longer made heads and bodies and all heads and bodies were removed from shops (the sole exception being the monkey).

However, the unintended consequences cascaded. Because the graphics staff no longer made heads or bodies, the primary focus of the GAT staff instantly became hats. And this all happened only months before the creation of the FB Server, the second of Classic's Two Worst Decisions ever made. The Eden for the genesis of recycling 1k guilds, and the birth of hat chasers. A server that rewards a hat for sitting in a tower AFK for 41.7 days straight, and has a graphics team that almost solely makes hats to sell. And that my dear children is how Classic became the hat server.

I think it'd be better if each player was limited to a certain amount of custom heads they could own at once. But of course, if you thought the 5k .gif hat decision was bad, wait until you see people burn a hole through their butt after crapping themselves when seeing something like that implemented.

Rufus 07-02-2014 12:33 PM

Nothing will be done to uploads, specifically heads, because it is their biggest earner on Classic. You'd think custom heads would make the world seem more diverse, but to me it seems like we have less unique people overall now. Might just be nostalgia talking or something though.

Need I remind you those are sprites you are supposedly sexually attracted to?
