It is so good! I think the white sauce is either heavy garlic sauce like how the place near me does it or it could be some sort of sour cream.
You can get a plate of the meat shredded instead of in a little sandwich, if you want to make your own or just enjoy the many different spices in the meat. http://a4.urbancdn.com/w/s/Kw/8mnGWYaj73G1qN-640m.jpg YUM! |

It's a sandwich from the Levant. Made by Levantine Arabs so Lebanon, Palestine, Syria etc.

This thread is a whole different level of ridiculous. Whenever you don't know a word, don't bother looking it up in a dictionary or the Internet. Just consult your friendly neighborhood Graalians. |

I've come to expect little from this community. A comment like that doesn't surprise me. It's not even worth replying to. |
Ok now I'm hungry for shawarma.

Asking the community is a fun way to get everyone's perspective on things. Some people have probably never heard of this, and some people may never enjoy it... if they live in a more rural area. It is really yummy, though, I suggest everyone should try it at least once.

When people use the word "kebab" they're commonly referring to Turkish kebab, which is obviously not Arab. Origins of the word come from Persian, again not Arab. Many regions have something like kebab, the Arab version of it is called shawarma (which is apparently a word from Turkish). ggwp |
And gyros is sort of a greek kebab.
