Exactly my first thought, and also I don't really get your speed mechanics but I would suggest that every few tiles they gain a speed boost

Well the idea I had for how the speed mechanics would work is similar to how it works for regular mounts. Regular mounts consume bushes to increase their speed. Since there's nothing like that in the water, I was thinking of instead using shallow water in a similar fashion. Basically while on your water mount over shallow water, your speed meter would increase similar to how your health increases when you're in a bed. Perhaps it would increase faster if you're standing still. And you would lose a point of speed when you take damage.

Since you can only board (and de-board) your boat on shallow water, you'd often be seeking shallow water anyway. So that's my thinking. Of course, more patches of shallow water would need to be added (just like more bushes were added when mounts were released. At least I think some were).

Of course, these are just some ideas. There's still a ton more that needs to be fleshed out for this to ever work. I can think of some more in-depth ideas in regards to some of the things I haven't gotten into, but it's just going to get too complicated.

I believe Dusty originally said that the water feature may or may not be applied to old mounts. I'm guessing it's a no go. As, logically, the rocket should be able to fly over water too (I also have multiple other mounts that fly).

Yeah but that can easily be changed to how it looks when it's moving (without the fire, of course). I never liked the idle view on the rocket, anyway.

It wouldn't make sense to make it looks like its flying without the fire. I think it's fine the way it is.

hmmm interesting.i wanted to see a paper air plane mount,or a plane,since moving on water is too slow.if it was a regular mount it would be hard to bug catch,u would have to keep moving,unless u forced it back to land.the shallow water might be hard,considering pkers.here is my quest/vision of how scarf quest could continue:

U complete other quests,and u give the scarf to a guy who is cold without a scarf..i need to find more characters that would be included and what items they would give out.
willing to make that paper air plane mount though.
