ERA HAS GUNS
|
Era has not surpassed Classic in any way. One day Era will have more players online, but the most people I've seen on Era is 3.5k or something, while I've seen Classic at 4.1k and has 3.5k players online on a daily basis. However, Era does continue to pump out summer shops and such and makes more updates, but quality over quantity. I'm not sure how to say this in a nice way, but many of the summer shops just aren't...good, in my opinion. Classic rarely releases anything, but when they do release stuff (other than hats) they are usually really good, such as the Japenese themed Nexus that opened almost a week ago.

Are app store ratings a factor into this as well?
Imo, I think it is... |

Back to the original OP, era takes a considerably higher income (based on that old income thread a couple months ago). While they both average around the same amount online at a time. I would say Classic has better graphics as more renowned graphic artists are pulled in by the theme of the server, however iEra has more PvP interest- for players more into customizing your own way of fighting. While classic combat is focused on sword spamming and evasive maneuvers, iEra uses a large variation of guns, grenades, launchers, melees, and much more. It also has the advantage of a rare/trading system, which gives more incentive to play (trying to collect rare items). However, all these weapons available in era made it into a cash machine designed to make OP weapons available for incredibly high prices that can only be realistically reached by purchasing gralat packs from the app store with real-world money. While pay to win is fun for those who have paid, many players do not like the idea of a game that gives combat advantages to those who give it more money. This is a great incentive for people to play Classic, as all the weapons are given upon creating an account (except for special bombs, which are not a big deal) and combat is based on skill. Skill takes its shine inside of the spar arenas, but the tower taking is also more skill oriented- at-least while comparing it to iEra. All in all, (TLDR) iEra does definitely bring in more bread money for Unixmad, but iClassic has a richer history and is much more appealing to casual, recreational, and community players without creating any pay-to-win situations. It still produces large amounts of cash because players like to buy cool hats all the time. The playercounts are relatively the same, and both lack developers (I would say iEra has the edge slightly, because of iClassics strict invite-only policy, but I am not too sure). |
Delteria.

I'm pretty sure era has gotten over 4k. When analyzing a server there are many characteristics that must be addressed. And everyone has bias, including myself.
First of all, it is not fair to take a look at one superior part of a game, and say the whole server is better(for example saying classic is better because of better graphics) I've played classic a lot longer than era so there will be some bias. Classic account: 2500 hours non afk. Started a month after release but took a break for a year. Era account: 800 ios non afk + 200 staff non afk. Played since release, staff for a lil over 2 months. Alright so here's my OPINION. Not facts. Classic: Pros... -better graphics by far -skill orientated -good updates -better community Cons... -Updates take forever -non responsive staff(flame me idc it's true) -repetative gameplay -repetative items(almost always hats or morphs -.-) -basically a large chat room with a customizable character(people don't play classic for its gameplay sorry) Era: Pros... -high player count -excellent gameplay(doesn't get boring) -massive weapon choice -frequent updates -trade system/rares(adds new dimension/appeal to gameplay) -responsive staff(I understand this is probably my most biased point, but I've seen our pr team actively moniter and manage reports) -vast choice of fighting styles, you can make your own using different weapon combinations and strategies/techniques Cons... -high player count -The community can be a bit rude -pay to win -lower quality updates, however I still think some are just as good Just my opinion : j It was probably a bad idea because people will flame me but whatever, I just wanted to give the most complete response I could. |
