Ol'West uses a lot of systems already implemented in other servers, mainly era since it was created as a past version of it. Delteria how ever doesn't use anything from other servers and all the systems were developed from the bottom up due to the nature of how the game runs. I'm not saying Ol'West is bad or anything or that Delteria is better but it's just that it would be safer to release something you knew would work perfectly opposed to something that might not.

Not only that but Ol'West has been in development for an extremely long time, and they took a different approach than Delteria. See Delteria tried gaining hype for their server, and released it too early, and they lost a lot of the playerbase due to the release. I can definitely say that aside from the playerbase Delteria has some pretty good scripting and GFX, some of which are better than Ol'West, but they made a couple of crucial mistakes, and I doubt it will ever reach iOS now. |
