I believe their point is relating to the fact that sex is a more casually discussed topic and activity before marriage these days. Homosexuality being a more accepted thing too, would it be alright for Disney movies to start showing casual sex as normal? That's just what I'm seeing there.

theres no discrimination against sex though? i think the whole project just aims to reduce the stigma associated with homosexuals (and ppl who are non-heterosexual in general)

How do you combat ignorance? Education? People that are against homosexuality don't have to teach their kids that it's 'ok' to be gay, but it is important that they teach them not to judge others for being "different".

Well apparently it's fake, which is a shame, because I would've liked to see how this movie would've done.

Of course there will three different sides, one who says "Great job Disney!", another who will say "WTF Disney? Why are they gay? That's so gross.", and then another who will say "Great movie, but I don't know if my children should be exposed to this."

I think it would be a good way to inform children about same-sex marriage without actually telling them about same-sex marriage. Hopefully this will be implemented one day.

Who ever brought porn into same-sex marriage? With that logic, one could argue that all marriages in every disney movie should be banned. Obviously, marriages and kissing are the same thing as sex. Don't bring your kids to your wedding!

Anyway, plenty of teenagers and adults today are bigoted against and made fun of for the way they are. I think this movie would be a great message, saying that homosexuals are only human and we should treat them normally.

Not sure why I'm being quoted. I was just attempting to clarify their argument (still not really sure if I know what they're saying). I don't support their reasoning for not making this movie, but am still opposed to it myself.

Not necessarily. There is a huge range of cultures used in Disney movies, and if you look at the history of Greek or Japanese cultures there is a strong tradition of homosexuality in leaders and ordinary men.
