There's still some flaws on this though, the leader won't be able to scam gang points for themselves and buy their personal GP items but they can still scam members for gang upgrades by promising to give something to a member if he/she donates points to the gang bank. After that, the leader can buy the upgrades for their gang then kick the member who donated.

Well that's fully on the leader if he wants to be stubborn. If the player gets kicked then he could find another gang in my opinion. All-in-all it would give the leader bad reputation and players would avoid joining that gang.

So I just had an idea relating to Gang Wars:

When a gang decides to declare war on another gang then it would show up on a new leaderboard tab listed as "Wars."

In this tab it can be a list of gangs in war with each other along with the time they have during that week. In order for a gang to win a war against each other then they need more hours in that week than the other gang.

For example the tab could look like this:
Spoiler
Gang (Hours) VS. Gang (Hours)

The italicized word is the Gang Name. The word in parenthesis is the hours they have gained that week.

Gladius (10:58) VS. Abernathy (8:32)

There doesn't need to be a reward for the winner but it could go to a new thing on Gang Menus such as "Total Wars Won: 2" or something.

Nope. It can easily be abused by making a fake gang and winning on the other tag. That's why I said no rewards. Not everything needs a reward.

Well wouldn't the same thing apply to Gang Spar if we have the winner a few points?

The way I was thinking we could fix this, for any activity, is to require a certain amount of players to be in the match for it to be initiated. On top of that, the points that would be given would be from the other Gang. Each gang member that participates would bet a certain amount of points. Those points would then be distributed to the winner, or something. Perhaps you guys could add onto this idea?

That would take care of the problem I had in mind! I like. :)

I've added streaking back in bases. Kill someone and your kill streak will increase. Die and your kill streak is then reset.

Cool idea, reduces the scenarios in which active members get screwed for their rewards. I know this is meant to promote basing, but like john and fatal stated, there are cons/flaws. It would be wise to monitor how players are using the system in order to prevent lamers from killing the point system.

1.Make sure the weapons, traps, etc aren't trade-able. 2.I also advise you not to make a gang bank, because the leader can have let's say 3 extra player accounts along with their real one on at the same time. The leader basically gets an advantage by having 4x the amount of gp for very few effort. Also, leaders could charge their members 25% of their Gang points to stay in the guild or rank up faster. Unless you wouldn't mind these things, then you shouldn't add a gang bank.

1. like fatal mentioned, players can use multiple accounts to get easy points from the main basing guilds. I could be on 4 at a time.

2. Any leader of a current basing guild could easily exploit the bank this way.

Ok, so if we don't introduce a gang bank, and points aren't transferrable, then what problems are there with the current system?

If we still want there to be Gang Upgrades, how would that work? Would any player be able to buy upgrades for them?

Maybe there could be a right for the leader to set to certain players to 'buy upgrades' or whatever, but these upgrades are only active when the player is in the Gang, if they are kicked or leave then this upgrade (say an extra slot) is then revoked and that player gets their Gang points back?

I'm not saying there's something wrong atm. Since this is a news/suggestion thread I was just putting my input in regards to what john and fatal said. But, if there's a way to exploit it someone will find it. They always do.

My post can be misleading since it sounds as I was talking like those things were already in place.

As for Gang upgrades, maybe you can setup a different point system that would go directly to the gang itself. I don't think it's fair for a player to scam points off towering guilds and using them to upgrade their own guild. That would give no incentive to create basing competition.

The main way to exploit the system is with multiple accounts, so monitoring the number of players coming from the same location could be one way to dealing with the problem. Delteria says they monitor for multiple accounts during holiday dungeons to prevent players from getting multiple chests.

Needing to be identified to earn points can also help.

I like the idea of having to be identified to earn points, that would fix a lot of it. Don't you think? It takes a long time to make an email, unidentify from your old account, login with your new email, accept the login email, login, skip the tutorial, get to the base, join the gang.

It's a little late to make points gang-specific.

I don't think they should ever get their points back, but I like the idea of giving rights for permission to buy upgrades
