For the first time in a very long time, I went to a formal dance with some friends.
There was no alcohol or any types of alterations.
I have a pretty bad case of "Realism" which recently started to increase to the point I feel I need to see a psychiatrist for help.
These things include:
"Why do people dance? We're just bones with flesh attached."
"Is this a type of cult? Everyone in a box room hopping up and down, back and forth."
Sometimes I think other things like this, such as:
"Why do we need cushiony sofas and chairs? It's literally just something for us to stick our butts on."
Rather than making this thread specifically for ideas on my problem, I also want to see what some of you can come up with.
So.. thinking realistically, what are some things you can think of similarly?

It's how you look at it, Like you do random **** at social gatherings that make no sense but you'd do them. It seems natural to you. Or some stuff is done for emotional reasons.
In my personal opinion you do things like them because you've grown up doing them so you are used to it. It's like the story of Plato's Cave where ther was a guy who was tied in a cave for his entire life and there was a fire in the cave and all he saw for his life was a shadow. No 3D... Nothing. When he escaped somehow heh was confused at all the colour and 3D objects. It's like if he came to USA and saw you guys doing something like playing football, he'd be confused why you're doing it. You guys do it for fun because it's what you've been growing up doing. He'll be confused and see no point. His version of fun would be staring at the natural land. But then in our perspective we would believe what's the fun in that? But it's just how people interpret things. I guess what i'm trying to say is because do things because it's what they have grown up believing. I believe watching sports is fun, but other people would say "it's just grown sweaty adults running around".
Anyway I think I got a bit carried away but what i'm trying to say is you are interpreting things much more logically at the moment. I'd randomly get some thoughts that would make the activity I'm doing make no sense. Emotions can effect how you interpret things. Someone that is hard to make laugh would interpret stand up comedy as "people just speaking random things" as they aren't emotionally attached.
I believe what you are doing is just having a sudden thought about life. You probably are at the stage where you are more independent in everything and everything you read/watch you know could be false/meaningless. It's temporary. It's your mind. You're going out of your own way to think about that. Sometimes all it will take is some traditional things to take your mind off it and you'll get back to life. Idk like go do some things you used to do with friends like going to the pub or something. If you constantly repeat them eventually you'll forget about it.
I'm sorry if I went a bit overboard and random with the **** I said ahaaaa.
