Dusty don't roast me but what about a little VIP sign that you can hold up and show off. You only have it when you buy the vip

I think the problem is you can buy V.I.P for one month and basically get everything you want out of it...Oasis doesn't really serve a purpose except seeing hats for the first time and selling special loot to the baby NPC. Looting seems okay-ish there but destiny still seems better for some reason (maybe spawn rates are diff? Could be wrong about this). As far as bug catching it also seems dead there considering barely any spawn (Unless this has changed within the past week or two)...

It just seems the only reason to buy it is the access to colors, and the morph or item pending if the person likes it that month.. I'm not good at thinking of idea's but Oasis is definitely a start

Some benefit that could be added might be that if you are a VIP, you could buy unique emoticons that only can be accessed on Oasis. Another I could suggest would be that VIP members get very small discounts (maybe 5-10%) on newly released items for a short period of time.

Say what you will about oasis island (ahem) I think the apple is cute, I'm glad it swims, and I will probably get vip for it... after months of not getting vip because I didn't really like the 'free gift.'

I agree with others here - give VIP a bit of a boost in coolness. The 'double furniture storage' is laughable (more than 1500 objects in my inventory) and the colors are kind of insignificant if you have customs? Mainly, though, I feel that oasis island needs a draw. It's like a ghost town.

- VIP only admin events (cuts down on the whining about not getting in to events at the same time as encouraging purchase of VIP)

- VIP only seasonal store (easy to implement - put it in one of those empty shacks on oasis island, make a few objects for it once every 3-4 months)

- VIP only emoji set (usable only while VIP subscribed, or maybe just reskins current set while subscribed)

- VIP only head/body pack (like custom pack, but activates only while VIP active, with another 5-10 pages of options)

- VIP only ganis (like /sit /run :asleep whatever... but special ones that can only be used while vip subscribed)

And, as backwards as it seems a player suggesting, make the Vip items previously given out only usable while subscribed. There would be riots, but it would encourage a feeling of exclusivity about the purchase.

The dangers of updating VIP benefits to the extreme would be that we could create the equivalent of "pay to win" but for Graal. Having special access or privileges while rewarding, it would also upset a lot of people and could backfire.

I dont know if by extreme, you were referring to everything that was said here, or anything that could happen or be said still. Classic wouldnt become pay to win though. When it comes to pvp, everyone has an equal opportunity to do well. Hence why different bombs and arrows are only customized to look different, and not have different effects (yeah, i know the blast is different from the normal bomb to any other, but at this point, i feel the majority of people have special bombs).

I dont know what to call it, but im referring to the "mana" bar that limits arrow spamming. I was going to suggest that VIP users use less "mana" per arrow shot, but i realized that it isnt such a good idea cause it gives an actual advantage over others in a game which has always been about being fair.

By "Pay to Win", it would be like more like only VIP players can have a higher guaranteed access into events rather than higher damage or range on items. More like "Pay to Play"

I think it's nice that VIP is purely cosmetic and doesn't affect gameplay. It allows you to buy VIP whenever there's something you want, but doesn't require you to buy VIP every month in order to be on the same level as every other player. Although, because classic is so strong with their furniture, I think an interactive furniture piece each month would be something cool to add to Oasis. VIP would still get the 1 monthly item like the morph, but each month there would be a different furniture item you could buy at Oasis.

Basically people are paying for morphs/mounts at this point anyway, so by this logic it already is :P

The thing that excited me the most was access to the 2nd server. There was a lot of hype to it. Now, VIP allows you access to the oasis which was fun for a while and every now and then if you go back. I agree with brett that something needs to happen with the oasis. I dont have any ideas right now about it, but ill try and think of something

Would be nice if there was some sort of actual advantage over people that aren't VIP, like a separate place to do a daily quest on VIP island so you don't have to do pyrats in that crowded room, or maybe a faster mount that you can only use whilst VIP. Or perhaps open an additional room in the houses/GH of people that are subscribed to VIP. Colors are the only reason I even buy it, since the morphs and mounts have no actual use due to the fact that I have a water mount.

Just spitballin but *shrug* seems like a waste to spend 7500 when most people already have superior mounts and morphs don't even have a real use.
