Need Help on zone fast

because they let the **** storm that is trading continue. Trading has ruined the economy. The funny thing is, it's impossible as a newbie to work your way up, but the experienced players with auction items, old event hats, etc. get richer and richer. Newbies have to do jobs like ship repair for 11 gralats (-40 for the wrench) per ship repaired in order to get gralats. Experienced players have to just buy and sell rare items in trade. They're raising the prices because they have to, but it's ruining the game for nearly everyone, especially for anyone coming to Zone who hasn't been playing for a while. They still have ZC and haven't done a damn thing to fix it. I've stressed so much with the new management that creating new content will do nothing to fix Zone as long as everything we currently have is still so severely broken. No one has done a thing about it, though.

Yeah, its a mess, i myself have stopped trading now cuz i knew it would keep getting worse, i got my stuff while it was cheap and stopped. There isnt much to get early on in trading besides crappy holiday weapons, anything better requires grinding. Rare hats and auction items will take ages to get now, the cheapest you can even get something like a sigil blade is about 65k zc. Zc really need to go

Haha I remember when I got 3k ZC and thought I was rich. I was offered 10k zc for a hat and at that time, 10k ZC was the most anyone had (it was when everyone was talking about who were the first ones to get 10k) and now I see people with 50k ZC sitting on a table.

You can't increase dragon speed with the current script. But it'd be easy to add a speed limit variable to them then just run it throughout the script. Just use a const so you can always go back and change it up later instead of going all over the script.

Just make ZC unreadable. Sure it'll make pros mad, but then we could have a vendor buy zc for graalium, at a price of 5zc=1 graalium. Thats probably a bad ratio, ik, but I dont trade either so itd obviously be tweaked if this actually happend.

(Off topic from weapon balancing, but this does balance the economy, which would balance weapon control)

I suggest giving the players a 1 month advance that ZC is being removed. Let them do what they must, let the rage chill, then announce that there will be a conversion of ZC- 5 gralats/zc.

Afterwards, sell a new top-tier gun to reduce the influx of gralats in the system, or hold an auction.

Actually, yea it'd be more efficient to hold an auction as the people who had 10000k zc would still not be nubs again cus they'd have auction items at probs a less steep price.

ZC is the main 'trade' currency. Why would we just remove the currency alltogether? I mean auctions would be a way to get rid of it but I think we should still have some kind of mission currency. That could always end up being their main currency for trade as well. Since they convert 2 graalium > 1 zc.

ZC is too broken. Keeping it the trade currency wouldn't fix the trade problems. It would just fix the event problem. I think by now, Zone has to just take an L and remove ZC altogether. Maybe staff could make a very good quality hat (not tradable) to give to players with over 5k ZC as a way to repay them, but for Zone's economy to improve, ZC has to go. If there was a ZC only auction and was announced that it would be the last chance to use ZC, then that would be fine. ZC just needs to go, though.

Agreed. Like SKT said there should be a 1 mont(maybe less like 2 weeks) warning before its removed- if this whas to ever happen of course.

And that's an issue. You talk about the combat system, but I honestly think that the economy has to be fixed. Like very badly.

The only issue with the whole "if you have 5K..." thing Pig suggested is that many of us never have pure ZC on hand. I have about 6k just in fancy guns(which I'm selling... buy them pl0x) and given a direct notice that ZC will be removed, why would anyone buy those with ZC?(actually now that I look at it, it could go either ways... like some would love to hoard for the exchange while others would get rid of it all... but still)

The changes are being made now, still not completely done. Some things didnt transfer from dev properly and will be fixed up btw

Zc is a failed trading currency. When I was still on the staff team I urged Chelt to make a new zc shop that would have some need items that players could buy, and then it would have a conversion bucket in the middle to convert the zc to gralats. This way you give people an option to use the zc one last time to buy some new items and to then trade in zc for gralats. The idea was to announce that ZC was being removed a month prior and that this shop would be opened for a month and then all zc would be removed. However more pressing things seemed to come before the zc removal, (Gender options), but its still a decent method of eliminating the currency and rewarding the players. I like the idea of having auctions right after the entire process.
