I like this idea, would change a lot of things. You could use the climbing physics from the wall climber event for the ice climbing except with tools.

A limited time event ice fishing contest? Where you can compete daily for the biggest fish
( basically run to an ice hole and have an RNG pick your number/weight, kinda like a reskin of the lottery system from that Aniversary event) Maybe even run it for three days and call it a fishing derby

Then have the three winners.... ah heck do something anyhow

Then have a grand champion from those three players

The word "limited" just makes it sound like a waste of time, IMO.
I want ice fishing for as long as Classic still runs. Hell, I don't care if it becomes a competitive sport.

Fact of the mater is: Snow Town needs something new to it- not just some capsule machine so that it's popular for two to three days before everyone gets bored with it. I'm talking something that's fun and engaging that can actually make Snow Town... well, a snow town, really.

could be cool if water closer to snow town would freeze over... maybe there could be holes in the ice to catch fish? either way would be cool... skating would be fun

I suppose it could be an ice fishing shack permanently, then make it into a little mini game like crab chance

Maybe make it a classic shell game, three ice fishing holes to choose from and only one has a fish. Then exchange fish for prizes
