My lord, I agree. This is terrible..and like in snowtown.. Bringing back old hats? Making them purely worthless..people are mesmerized when they see old cool hats..making them want to find/create/earn etc for them or for new ones.

the next generation of players will be like

"oh a hat, looks cool and i have enough money"
(they purchase the hat, log on next day)
"oh there's a cooler looking hat here now, better save up"
(after a day of saving up gralats)
"oh, it's gone..."

There's a reason super markets offer all their stock every day of the week.
There's also a reason flea markets happen once in a while as opposed to just every day. Both work well for different reasons.

Not sure why rotating ancient stock is happening now - they're going to have a problem where rotating stock vendors require NEW stock regularly in order to attract customers. This won't mean making fewer hats in order to stock them at stores - it will require much, much more work for graphic artists, and probably force players into a situation where they are reluctant to buy a hat today because they aren't sure what will be on display tomorrow.
