im not in any way saying graal should do this because the current map holds COUNTLESS amount of memories. But I’m just wondering what would happen if graal completely changed maps and perhaps even the graphics. Would graal “become popular” again? I would love to see something like this happen if graal wasn’t such an old and nostalgic game. Maybe on zone it would be cool but zone is dead ofc

And none of u oldies better come in and say “don’t u dare compare graal to fortnite”

graal or classic? graal is multiple servers, if only we had that development scene like we used to.

Do you think it'll be the same for Christmas Gift ? No enough submissions ?

The items have always been available in later years, in addition to the new ones for the Halloween candy shop. It's not because of there being too few submissions and I don't know where Grant got that information. We actually had quite a few submissions this year.

For Christmas, some items continue to be available in later years and some don't. I'm sure we will have more than enough submissions, as we always do.

we already did this in ~2012 when the tileset and most of the map was revamped.

Are you done or..? Because we dont get paid you wont do something ? When you love something you'r not waiting for a reward or anything else.

Your love for a game wont pay bills amigo. Voluntary work is voluntary work. I would be happy to put my skills to work for graal again and make a game better, because graal holds a special place in my heart as being of the only mobile games i enjoy. But love for a game wont pay bills, put food in your stomach, gas in your car, or in my case, bullets in my guns. Believe me when i say working graal is a massive time investment. Theres a bunch wrong and can be improved and no one really wants to do it because the reward is seeing your work come to life and maybe in game stuff. Now thats the only reward and there asking for a lot. I personally love seing my work come to life, thats why i fabricate I beams for buildings. I can see what i contributed to a building and im making straight out of college 55k a year, all college debts paid within 10 months. Graal asks for a large amount of work and no monetary gain. Thats a large turnoff for people and no one wants to work because they only get the pride of making something for everyone else to enjoy but nothing to help them IRL. Its an unfortunate truth of community based things.

I agree with this whole heartedly, But assuming that you ARE working and you ARE paying your bills and all that other stuff why not look at being staff for graal as a hobby then? Looking at what is wrong with the game and working on that and fixing them should be something to look forward to tbh.

Because if you actually want to get work done. Your going to be investing a lot of your free time into graal. Graals teams are extremely small, if you put in maybe 2 hours a day, not much will get done. Its a demanding hobby. A lot of people work or have school, and balancing out personal life with work and then throw in graal ontop. It gets chaotic.

Graal Classic 2? In all seriousness though what that one guy said is right. It does take time to get things done. A lot of it, and I was looking into leveling earlier but my computer broke so I’ll get a new one and try things out. @Jarace if I wanted to join perhaps a levels team how could I?

I would love a revamp, but I like Greens idea more at the moment, I don’t want all be special places I missed leaving. Like Snow Fort is already gone. So if we had a remodel of each town, with better graphics like they did swamp I think that would be nice. I’d love to try to help in any way possible too.

They don't hire for levels (or NAT, for that matter) the same way they do gps or graphics staff.

If you're just starting, check out Dusty's level editor. You can also use Testbed's online level editor by logging in to the server then signing up for access.

Although, I should note that stuff like the Swamp Town remake are more graphics intensive than levels intensive. If you're looking to help out with stuff like that, you may wish to consider going that direction instead.

Alright I’ll look into that when the time comes around. I’ll try to learn both, because that seems like something that would work out imo. When I used the levels editor on test bed it didn’t seem too hard, but when looking at Dusty’s little things it’s obviously a bit hard with water and layers etc

nah they should focus on big events add more interesting things to do, dope theme for nexus and they should make more taunt for ppl who spar.

edit: AND OPTIMIZE YOUR GAME this is just a 2d game it should not eat too much data

Gambit Darkmane 11-12-2019 07:57 AM

If its more events people want they already change certain hats daily and have daily events why not have someone spawn in weekly that gives you certain challenges (but acutal hard challenges) and then he gifts you a hat or maybe even an exotic coin which then with enough saved up gives you a rare hat or it doesnt even have to be a hat it could be a taunt or something new.

Just a thought.

I'd be down with this if: PK zones were consistent, The Zone seasonal shop was removed, the anti-boost PK system (that doesn't prevent boosting, gj team) was removed, and if we had a dev team with enough time to fix this game.
