It's been a week since the Easter event has ended, could we have overworld pk back please. There's no reason that it should be turned off right now.

I really enjoy overworked PK. There isn't anything better than to walk around the world on your merry way, then just stopping to kill a random person. Uh, anyway, I think it can get a bit troublesome and annoying around building entrances, because that makes any kind of shopping or anything particularly difficult. Doors get clogged up, funnels and staircases become impossible to surpass, and it doesn't help anyone since giant mobs outside of tower settings typically don't generate anyone any PKs, only deaths. That's is a giant waste of time for everyone.

I've only really seen doors get clogged up at Daycare/Taylor Richaards and even there, the mob usually moves on. If there are door spammers usually they get bored or distracted so it doesn't happen long enough to be an issue..

As for riots outside towers, I usually don't see this anywhere except for MoD where people would just boost kills of the people dying. (pk has been disabled there probably for this reason)

I'm just talking about the regular spots that were disabled for Easter. Angel Clan area, Onnet, Day care, The Joint area... (would be nice if the area under MoD tower was enabled again as well.)

I've seen areas like Red Barn and World of Mirth clogged for hours, you' be surprised. It's ironic because I love PK, but I also like shopping too LOL. I was ticked off because I couldn't get toilet paper or something. :D

Came back an hour later, still going on. Came back another hour later, still went on. It wasn't until the third hour until I could go in the shop. Oh well, no big deal I guess but you can imagine other commoners would be.

Maybe if areas weren't so restricted...

I would suggest what they implemented right outside of auction house but I personally would hate if all buildings ended up like that.

It’s honestly really lame how there are more non-pk zones than pk zones.

Pkers shouldn’t be corralled to certain areas because players might avoid them as to not be killed. If anyone wants to idle without dying, they can just go inside almost any building.

I agree for the most part, having it turned off in certain places is beneficial like preventing the boosting issue at MoD tower. (or a riot right under the tower instead of inside)

I can imagine the reason they removed overworld pking is to allow pking to be somewhat competitive and lean slightly more towards skill than activity. By removing it, and by adding a new tower system (albeit flawed) they have increased activity in towers which is both good for the PK community and the towering community.
I understand people wanting to be able to kill passers by etc and that's fine, but let's be honest overworld pk just gets exploited by boosters and would just mean that towers are dead again, the top 50 each season would be full of boosters as was the case when they first introduced seasonal leaderboards. If you want pks go to a tower and get them. You shouldnt be able to just stand in one spot and farm them.
It's also good for the towering community, as it means tower guilds dont have as easy a ride throughout the season if they are constantly getting pked/attacked.

I'm an honest fellow, I usually PK around the southern part of Swamp Town near the shops and auction house. There's always a lot of traffic and I have a lot of fun moving around, firing explosive arrows, and planting mines near the shop entrances for poor noobs to look at them for a sec and then step on in curiosity- dying. I don't think there are any big spots in the overworld where players can just sit and "farm" kills. That happens almost primarily in towering, which is why I quit towering. I can utilize my spar and general fighting skills better outside of a small tower room or corridor, and towering never really was designed as a skill game, but more as a numbers game with overpowering the other guild. That's a different discussion, though.
I just have more fun Pking than towering, probably because I don't have a good bunch of friends around to conquer with. I think the towers are outdated in terms of interior design. I don't like corridors or small openings in towers, where people can just sit and spam them so intruders can't get through. There isn't as much needed coordination all the time and it can be quite easy for anyone. There aren't as many opportunities to use any other spar type skill as you'd expect having to literally fight others to control a tower, but that comes down to the flawed design of towers.

Games shouldn’t work to limit player options; they should encourage players to do what they want within the rules of the game. Killing a player who’s idling in the overworld is the same as killing an idling player in a tower. It’s only if the idler gets up and allows you to kill them again that makes it boosting.

Pking and towering are two of the biggest elements of iClassic. That being said, one should not fix the other. They need to stand on their own.
