I don't mind the cluster of content. I'm just unsatisfied with leaking. My last post might have gone unnoticed as we all posted simultaneously. Check page three at the bottom.

I find that players only recognize an update when it is grouped together as a large offering. It's a shame because if you release something every now-and-again (like you are suggesting) they totally overlook its value. On Classic people only seem to view entire town releases as updates
|
staff member admits he doesnt care what players want or say, well guys, theres always strosteria,
or maybe if i ever do get my iron grip on a server i could turn graal around and give players what they deserve. |
seems to me like you need to hire more scripters. You also said there is stuff ready, just tell me why we can't get a great update every month instead of waiting 6-8 months for something that is advertised as fantastic.

and some of the plans for servers in progress include steady streams of content, events in the game, scripted things happening, attacks on towns, wars, monsters, lost treasure, diplomatic relations with kingdoms (GRAAL POLITICS ON A WHOLE DIFFERENT LEVEL) and QUESTS THAT ARE UPDATED AND CONNECTED TO A STORY |

I am for releasing cluster content, but I think guns should be separate and special, unless they're town/theme specific. |
I think Era should hire few more active scripters. Looks like Callimuc is doing most of them with snk...

you can go on trying to put the words in an order you want them to be but in the end you are just talking bull****. Quote:
it is not up to me when stuff is released, its still the managers job. and i never advertised something as fantastic, neither did i claim it to be a fail. here we are again - player making up stuff which hasnt been said. |
higbey do you work for stroseria?

It would be hard to constantly keep updating a game, but every few weeks they should have some sort of chain of updates each week. Kind of like how era does holidays like Halloween and Christmas: update a day at a time until a certain point, then die down for awhile until the next holiday. Except on a larger scale, like every week or two.
My problem is the lack of updates (not Halloween related). |

And explain to me how holiday stuff is generally all made within a month? Players usually consider those great updates, and honestly they don't take much effort from what I notice

We all have our own opinions. This is a good debate, let's not send it into a full out flamewar. Relax.
|
There's no point in this thread except to join in and bash on the Era Staff now. Yes they're not doing this that, blah, blah, blah, we know that already and it's been like this for a while now, if you really had a problem with the lack of content, then why are you still here reading this post?
Welcome to the iGraal. Also, Callimuc, why are you engaging in this topic? It was obvious bait for a flame war at the very start. Notice how you're the only one representing Era iPhone Staff here? |
I was pretty much done with pimpsys buns minus the scripts, I mean you can make all the graphics and tiles you want but what I found when I worked on iera was that it was really, really hard to get a group of people to work together on one project. Everyone had their own little side projects with a couple others helping periodically.

In fact Minecraft went like an entire year or so with only an update every couple of months... and most weren't very well received and lacked substantial content(they were bad enough to spawn mods like "Better than wolves"). It wasn't until Jeb was put in charge that updates picked up a bit. |

Riot games now doesn't release information about an update until it is ready to be released. Why? Because they don't want to release information on something that might be changed or abandoned.
|
Yeah it would be great :) Pimpsy's bun really looked great.
|
at least we are getting somewhere now. Thank you Pimpsey

My question now is... Who are the current scripters, other than snk? If they're running guilds, I understand it's time consuming but when does the work get done? They must be very valuable as it is.

Edit: Oh, I was offering assistance just as another scripter, not as an actual staff member on iEra. Edit-Edit: I still don't get it. |
And how much does it cost to learn/and where?
|
I have a question. Dont take this offensively:
When was the last time you guys worked on ninja town? |

You can look up various guides for GS2 overall, though. |
