As promised! The first image is to give an idea of the size of my tank. It's 6 feet long and holds about 150 gallons of water. That's a slightly older pic; you can actually see some our poor-fated goldfish in it. They were there to help prime the tank for placing more expensive aquarium fish in it--usually the primer fish die off, only put in to help the water become inhabitable by other, more desirable fish. Their natural biological processes cause this change in the water, so goldfish are preferred to do it since they eat and **** more than like every other fish you can get. Makes you wonder why they are so popular as pets, but then the other half of the story explains why. They don't flippin' DIE. These goldfish were persistent and even survived the tank priming... only to be brutally murdered by the cichlids we added ._. I was calling my parents the Michael Vicks of the aquarium world for a while.
The second pic is more recent and was taken in the dark with the light on. Fish are kinda hard to photograph, but I love how this photo shows their personalities so well. The striped leporinus on the right is chill, just kinda floating around, the cichlids in the middle are always in leisurely movement, and the tinfoil barbs are spazzing back and forth across the tank constantly. When you have aggressive fish like cichlids, you either need larger/faster fish that can keep out of their reach like tinfoil barbs or equally aggressive fish like leporinus. Everything else will perish and you will be likened to Michael Vick. |
Pretty nice ;) the 2nd pic looks awesome (quality based). If the fishes wouldn´t be wished off it would look even nicer ;)

WDMs pet ran away the other week- so he got a new one. Then his boyfriend found a stray cat thinking it was theirs, so he took it to the vet to get it scanned (because they're chipped) and it wasn't their cat LOL |

No. No you do not. It will kill you if you aren't careful. plus they would need a special environment, lots of room, and lots of food.but yes. If I was rich I'd have a few pet Komodo dragons
