Exalt clutch situation and dropped the rock and the mic at the same time, impressive. He also has promised more in store for the tournament

http://i.imgur.com/Yp836XV.png

Kieran and myself faced eachother and tied 10 times in a row, he just knows my moves too well. It was like old times back in early RPST days. He still has amazing nitro reaction combinations and his 7-3-1 is insane.

Cxll 12-09-2016 12:29 AM

its ok james ur gonna take a early exit this RPST your use to losing 2nd round (Salty lions)

alexx only bet me cause my hands were sweaty.... currently 5-1:C

Do you think RPS is a f***ing joke Lia?

It's a exciting, nerve wracking game. There's even a RPS ring for this irl. It requires a lot of mind reading too!

Brackets updated for now, 6 open spots going quick and probably need a couple subs just in case.

I hope Demrow shows up so I can out him second round, maybe he beat me in spar but spar is nothing compared to RPS

I know I said I'll pay $20 to whoever outs James but please beat Inco at least James, that kid's not worth $20

ator 12-09-2016 02:01 AM

Definitely, sparring is a 'children's game' compared to RPS. I'm excited to see what kind of combos people will be able to pull off. Recently, the rock, rock, scissor combo has been showing some relevance. Not to mention, the 7-0-1 paper combo definitely has potential as well. Unfortunately, that combo does not have much room for error, therefore it is quite risky. What I'd like to add is that most, if not all of these rounds will be skill-based, I see no luck involved.

The big problem with the 7-0-1 combo is it works in earlier rounds but later it is not very effective. I'd say a pretty safe strat is in beginning use the 7-0-1 then around round 4 pull out the 5-4-1 and transition it back to 3-2-1 combo and save nitro for semis as well.

Depends on the bracket. One may have to use nitro earlier or if they're lucky they can save it for finals.

Correct, if they do have an easier match up, saving nitro shouldn't be a problem. Paired with the 7-0-1 combo early, like 205 said above, nitro should prove to give a considerable advantage near round 3-4. Likewise, personally the 6-1-6 combo has proven to be quite strategic as well.

I'm quite confident I could beat at least 3/4 of the participants of the tourney , however I'm busy this Saturday therefore will not competing...

One this that I encountered whilst playing someone people who are competing is that they assume the games will be best out of 3 like in gst. I don't know if they are just assuming it wrong or if it will actually be played out like that. However I think that best of 5 would be a more balanced match number for rps , considering the first move has not really got much strategic value towards it and is kinda based off luck. Finals should be to 10

Saturday at 7PM EST.

Goes in bracket order, you should be able to make it

Also I want to mention we will not be tolerating any VPN RPS'rs in this tournament. If you even attempt it you will be kicked along with speed hackers trying to get a 7-0-1 combo quicker.

As the bracket has just about finalized from what I can tell I'd like to add my first round thoughts for tomorrow's RPST:

Exalt (Whitebeard) vs Qes (DoT)
I couldnt possibly think of a better match to start this tournament. Two very strong competitors battling it out round one. Qes's mindgames and use of scissors certainly isnt to be feared and I've seen him working hard on his combo set ups, but we'll really have to see if he's going to be able to set them up in the early rounds. Exalt on the other hand has been showing immense promise, possibly towards the level of skill that James and I have. His unpredictability makes him incredibly hard to combo so that may break down Qes's entire strategy.
Predicted winner: Exalt (Whitebeard)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Alex </3 (VIS) vs Mish (Holy)
This match may be one of the hardest to predict. Mish truly flies under the radar when it comes to RPS but there's no doubt that Alex shouldn't underestimate her. She was very active in the RPS community in the past and was always above average. Her basic use of the 3-2-1 combo throws many people off and usually plays well in her favor during the early rounds. However, she can't disregard Alex's scottish delay. His delay can easily throw off Mish's timing and I know she won't be used to RPS'ing against some of these new generation opponents.
Predicted winner: Alex </3 (VIS)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Ria (Whitebeard) vs ~coldest82 (Classsy)
Not much to say in this round. I remember coldest showing up to many previous RPST's and never winning a single round. Ria on the other hand is particularly new to the RPS community but it showing promising results. He's almost already perfected the rock trifecta combo.
Predicted winner: Ria (Whitebeard)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Rimaz (Rommiel) vs Fulgore (TEAM BEER)
Fulgore has been spanking competitors left and right in the practice rounds recently and he's also told me he has a new technique he created called the scissoring paper catastrophe. I've never seen it but it sounds badass so he probably has the win. Rimaz for some reason is still spending most of her time sparring like an idiot who still thinks sparring takes skill. Goodluck on saturday Rimaz, you'll need it. TEAM BEEEER
Predicted winner: Fulgore (TEAM BEER)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Chris </3 (VIS) vs Doorbell (YZY)
This match definitely has some drama behind it. I don't know the full story but I know it has something to do with graal dating so I'm sure it's really lame. Regardless both these competitors are pretty random and suck.
Predicted winner(after a coin toss): Doorbell (YZY)

----------------------------------------------------------------

E (SLX) vs Link (Rommiel)
To be honest I'm not sure what Demrow is thinking by recruiting some of these RPS scrubs to SLX. If Dem wants SLX to be a strong RPS guild he really should rethink his recruiting. Link is a strong RPS'r that tends to be extremely aggressive and gets into the minds of his opponents early on by using a confidence crushing rock.
Predicted winner: Link (Rommiel)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Fabian (DiU) vs Bryan (Rek Em)
Again, these are two pretty new RPS'rs in the community and the match should be interesting to watch. There's speculation Bryan may not be able to make it, but if he does he may have the advantage. Fabian has been known for trying combos far too complicated for his current skill level and I'm sure Bryan knows how to take advantage of that.
Predicted winner: Bryan (Rek Em)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Kieran (is weeb) vs Jose (VIS)
Jose is by far the worst RPS'r I've ever seen. I'm not sure if his strategy is blindly throwing out paper in the worst possible moments and getting flawed, but it is, then he does that strategy perfectly. I'll be going for my 15th RPST win this saturday and there's not a chance I'll be losing first round to someone like Jose. I'm also inventing a combo that possibly exceeds my famous nitro combo, so I'm a little dissappointed I'll have to waste something so amazing against this guy.
Predicted winner: Kieran (is weeb) obviously

----------------------------------------------------------------

Super (Solace) vs Cxll (XXVII)
This match should be an exciting one. Callum is one of the only competitors I've seen talking an obnoxious amount of **** while actually being able to back it up. His use of rock is amazing and it'll be interesting to see how Super, who's main throw is scissor, will react to that. Super is very good at adapting though and it may throw Callum off is he does it correctly. This match will definitely be one you'll regret missing.
Predicted winner: Super (Solace)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Vlad R. (VIS) vs TeK (CD)
TeK has proven himself to be an unorthodox RPS'r and I think that unique style will take him far in the bracket. Vlad doesn't seem to know too much about techniques or combos so I'm sure TeK won't have much of a problem this round.
Predicted winner: TeK (CD)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Spadz (VIS) vs Liz (<3)
lol who the **** is Liz
Predicted winner: Spadz (VIS)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Natsuna (Matrix) vs Trinity Wolf (Rommiel)
Natsuna has been preparing for this RPST every since that last one was held, 6 months ago. In those long months she's beeen able to turn her record from what was negative, into nearly a 4:1 win/loss. She may still struggle with Trinity Wolf though. Being one of (Rommiels) top RPS'rs, Trinity Wolf rarely misses a clutch situation and he's never lost a throw once while using a surprise paper. As long as he avoids one of Natsuna's lucky scissors, he should be able to pull off and easy 5-2-1 combo.
Predicted winner: Trinity Wolf (Rommiel)

----------------------------------------------------------------

PrimeTime (Whitebeard) vs Unicorn Z. Valeria (Awesome Dragons)
Unicorn may be absolute trash at RPS'ing, but he may have a chance against Prime. Prime has shown immense promise while RPS'ing and he has the potential to win the entire thing. However he has a history of having freak accidents occuring during RPSTs. My guess is by the time is comes to 3rd round he'll have karate practice or maybe some strong connection issues. This has never happened to him in round 1 though.
Predicted winner: PrimeTime (Whitebeard)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Daniel (VIS) vs Raj (Denuo)
I've never seen Daniel before in the RPS community so he may be this tournaments hidden gem. On the other hand he could be just a random who won't win a single throw. Raj is one of the older RPS players so he definitely knows what he's doing and can react to most situations.
Predicted winner: Raj (Denuo)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Lord Masterking (Solace) vs Mex (Shark gang)
These two RPS'rs have been rivals for years now. It's almost ironic they're matched up against each other for round one. They've been back and forth trading wins since the beginning of the RPST era. However I've noticed mex has seemed to dissappear from the RPS community while Lord Masterking continued to practice and win underground competitions.
Lord Masterking (Solace)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Kicko (Sage) vs Mac (M8S)
James has already said everything needed about this matchup. Both strong and rivalrous competitors, but Mac doesn't have much and Kicko's combos.
Predicted winner: Kicko (Sage)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Santa Clause (Slaystation) vs Wick (Rommiel)
Not many people know Santa Clause's true identity, fortunately I am one of them that do know. He's always been in the upper tiers in terms of RPS skill and he's looking to prove he still has what it takes to win $20. I haven't seen Wick RPS in a long time but if his delay is even half as strong as it used to be, it's going to be hard perfecting timing against him. Wick is almost completely combo proof and Santa Clause is really going to need his combos to beat wick.
Predicted winner: Wick (Rommiel)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Brett (Holy) vs Kosma (Holy)
Holy vs Holy, what an incredible matchup this early on in the tournament. Two exceptionally strong RPS'rs paired against each other. Kosma certainly has an edge on Brett however. Brett struggles outside the realm of his rock combos and Kosma's paper game is his strongest quality. I'm assuming if done correctly, Kosma should be able to pull off a 7-2-1 combo on Brett.
Predicted winner: Kosma (Holy)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Kobe D' (Rommiel) vs Memo (VIS)
I can't see Memo losing this round is any circumstance. Memo is great at luring out her opponents use of scissors and quickly follows up with a simple 3-2-1 combo. Kobe has definitely won some matches but he sometimes plays right into his opponents hands.
Predicted winner: Memo (VIS)

----------------------------------------------------------------

MK (Cherry) vs Raeven (Rek Em)
Mk has been looking forward to this RPST since he's been unable to make the last two. He's always been a consistent competitor who generally makes it fairly far in tournaments. I know he's really aiming for his first win this saturday. Honeslty no idea who Raeven is so I'm assuming Mk is gonna pub stop em.
Predicted winner: MK (Cherry)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Rusty vs Silver (VIS)
Another tough round to predict. It's been said that every night, Rusty and James spend hours RPS'ing in their own solidarity. If that's true, he should be incredibly skilled by now. I've seen him pull some amazing clutch combos out of nowhere and can turn a losing round into a winning one very fast. Silver is certainly above average but he's going to need to put some extra thought into how he's going to throw down in this round.
Predicted winner: Rusty

----------------------------------------------------------------

Alexx (Alumni) vs Korean Winter (DoT)
I know you see (Alumni) and think he's definitely going to win. However, Alumni may be good at something that requires absolutely no knowledge or skill such as sparring, but when it comes to something that you need a brain for like RPS, Alumni is complete trash. Korean Winter has been showing promise during practice rounds and I don't believe he'll struggle in the first round.
Predicted winner: Korean Winter (DoT)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Inco (VIS) vs 205 (Whitebeard)
Although Inco is certainly better than Jose, I believe this match will look very similar to mine. James205 is easily in the top 2 RPS'rs of all time and I can already tell he knows exactly what to do to flaw inco quickly. James has pretty muched perfected the 7-2-1 nitro combo and has actually been able to pull off a combo link leading into a 7-2-1~3-2-1 nitrous combo. Very excited to see how that plays off.
Predicted winner: 205 (Whitebeard)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Brandon (DiU) vs Vowl (DoT)
Brandon definitely has the edge on Vowl. I'm pretty sure vowl doesn't even own the RPS function yet so he's a complete joke.
Predicted winner: Brandon (DiU)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Roxas (Vindictive) vs Sun (Valor Morasfjka)
Roxas has been a big face in the RPS community since the early days. Being mentored by Felatio himself, Roxas has learned some complicated techniques that allow for some easy victories.
Predicted winner: Roxas (Vindictive)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Ator (Government) vs Rebels (VIS)
pretty sure Rebels will be banned while the tournament is going on (conspiracy?????) so
Predicted winner: Ator (Government)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Zetectic (SLX) vs Regius
There's no way in hell Zetectic is going to lose first round, especially if he's going to be making some sick youtube edits. He's bringing his A game saturday and is going to dominate most randoms like Regius.
Predicted winner: Zetectic (SLX)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Carly (Takudo) vs Colin (Canada)
It took me a while to write this one because I was debating on switching out Jose being the worst ever with Colin, but to be fair, Colin has some wins under his belt. Normally he's just randomly throwing out scissors, so I'm not sure what's going to hold Carly back from this win.
100% unbiased predicted winner: Carly (Takudo)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Yui (Holy) vs RM (Alumni)
Yui has one of the best teachers of all time guiding her through her RPS journey. James has been perfecting Yui's techniques and I know theyre even inventing this weird RPS-couple-combo thing which im not sure how that even works but it'll **** RM's **** up
Predicted winner: Yui (Holy)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Dark (RD) vs Red (Whitebeard)
These guys literally hate each other so whatever the outcome is it'll be hilarious. Dark has always been somewhat of a meme in the RPS community. I think after losing 20-something RPSTs in a row, he finally got his first RPST win during the last tournament. He tends to rank himself pretty high in RPS tiers but no one is really sure what he's thinking when he does that. Red on the other hand sees through this and won't have much of a problem winning this round.
Predicted winner: Red (Whitebeard)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Pip Daddy (Holy) vs Demrow (SLX)
This will be a great match to close out the first round. Pip has definitely been improving but it'll be exciting to see whether or not he's on Demrow's level quite yet. He may need to take a risky chance to win this round.
Predicted winner: Demrow (SLX)

This has never happened to him in round 1 though.
Predicted winner: PrimeTime (Whitebeard)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Daniel (VIS) vs Raj (Denuo)
I've never seen Daniel before in the RPS community so he may be this tournaments hidden gem. On the other hand he could be just a random who won't win a single throw. Raj is one of the older RPS players so he definitely knows what he's doing and can react to most situations.
Predicted winner: Raj (Denuo)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Lord Masterking (Solace) vs Mex (Shark gang)
These two RPS'rs have been rivals for years now. It's almost ironic they're matched up against each other for round one. They've been back and forth trading wins since the beginning of the RPST era. However I've noticed mex has seemed to dissappear from the RPS community while Lord Masterking continued to practice and win underground competitions.
Lord Masterking (Solace)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Kicko (Sage) vs Mac (M8S)
James has already said everything needed about this matchup. Both strong and rivalrous competitors, but Mac doesn't have much and Kicko's combos.
Predicted winner: Kicko (Sage)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Santa Clause (Slaystation) vs Wick (Rommiel)
Not many people know Santa Clause's true identity, fortunately I am one of them that do know. He's always been in the upper tiers in terms of RPS skill and he's looking to prove he still has what it takes to win $20. I haven't seen Wick RPS in a long time but if his delay is even half as strong as it used to be, it's going to be hard perfecting timing against him. Wick is almost completely combo proof and Santa Clause is really going to need his combos to beat wick.
Predicted winner: Wick (Rommiel)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Brett (Holy) vs Kosma (Holy)
Holy vs Holy, what an incredible matchup this early on in the tournament. Two exceptionally strong RPS'rs paired against each other. Kosma certainly has an edge on Brett however. Brett struggles outside the realm of his rock combos and Kosma's paper game is his strongest quality. I'm assuming if done correctly, Kosma should be able to pull off a 7-2-1 combo on Brett.
Predicted winner: Kosma (Holy)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Kobe D' (Rommiel) vs Memo (VIS)
I can't see Memo losing this round is any circumstance. Memo is great at luring out her opponents use of scissors and quickly follows up with a simple 3-2-1 combo. Kobe has definitely won some matches but he sometimes plays right into his opponents hands.
Predicted winner: Memo (VIS)

----------------------------------------------------------------

MK (Cherry) vs Raeven (Rek Em)
Mk has been looking forward to this RPST since he's been unable to make the last two. He's always been a consistent competitor who generally makes it fairly far in tournaments. I know he's really aiming for his first win this saturday. Honeslty no idea who Raeven is so I'm assuming Mk is gonna pub stop em.
Predicted winner: MK (Cherry)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Rusty vs Silver (VIS)
Another tough round to predict. It's been said that every night, Rusty and James spend hours RPS'ing in their own solidarity. If that's true, he should be incredibly skilled by now. I've seen him pull some amazing clutch combos out of nowhere and can turn a losing round into a winning one very fast. Silver is certainly above average but he's going to need to put some extra thought into how he's going to throw down in this round.
Predicted winner: Rusty

----------------------------------------------------------------

Alexx (Alumni) vs Korean Winter (DoT)
I know you see (Alumni) and think he's definitely going to win. However, Alumni may be good at something that requires absolutely no knowledge or skill such as sparring, but when it comes to something that you need a brain for like RPS, Alumni is complete trash. Korean Winter has been showing promise during practice rounds and I don't believe he'll struggle in the first round.
Predicted winner: Korean Winter (DoT)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Inco (VIS) vs 205 (Whitebeard)
Although Inco is certainly better than Jose, I believe this match will look very similar to mine. James205 is easily in the top 2 RPS'rs of all time and I can already tell he knows exactly what to do to flaw inco quickly. James has pretty muched perfected the 7-2-1 nitro combo and has actually been able to pull off a combo link leading into a 7-2-1~3-2-1 nitrous combo. Very excited to see how that plays off.
Predicted winner: 205 (Whitebeard)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Brandon (DiU) vs Vowl (DoT)
Brandon definitely has the edge on Vowl. I'm pretty sure vowl doesn't even own the RPS function yet so he's a complete joke.
Predicted winner: Brandon (DiU)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Roxas (Vindictive) vs Sun (Valor Morasfjka)
Roxas has been a big face in the RPS community since the early days. Being mentored by Felatio himself, Roxas has learned some complicated techniques that allow for some easy victories.
Predicted winner: Roxas (Vindictive)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Ator (Government) vs Rebels (VIS)
pretty sure Rebels will be banned while the tournament is going on (conspiracy?????) so
Predicted winner: Ator (Government)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Zetectic (SLX) vs Regius
There's no way in hell Zetectic is going to lose first round, especially if he's going to be making some sick youtube edits. He's bringing his A game saturday and is going to dominate most randoms like Regius.
Predicted winner: Zetectic (SLX)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Carly (Takudo) vs Colin (Canada)
It took me a while to write this one because I was debating on switching out Jose being the worst ever with Colin, but to be fair, Colin has some wins under his belt. Normally he's just randomly throwing out scissors, so I'm not sure what's going to hold Carly back from this win.
100% unbiased predicted winner: Carly (Takudo)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Yui (Holy) vs RM (Alumni)
Yui has one of the best teachers of all time guiding her through her RPS journey. James has been perfecting Yui's techniques and I know theyre even inventing this weird RPS-couple-combo thing which im not sure how that even works but it'll **** RM's **** up
Predicted winner: Yui (Holy)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Dark (RD) vs Red (Whitebeard)
These guys literally hate each other so whatever the outcome is it'll be hilarious. Dark has always been somewhat of a meme in the RPS community. I think after losing 20-something RPSTs in a row, he finally got his first RPST win during the last tournament. He tends to rank himself pretty high in RPS tiers but no one is really sure what he's thinking when he does that. Red on the other hand sees through this and won't have much of a problem winning this round.
Predicted winner: Red (Whitebeard)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Pip Daddy (Holy) vs Demrow (SLX)
This will be a great match to close out the first round. Pip has definitely been improving but it'll be exciting to see whether or not he's on Demrow's level quite yet. He may need to take a risky chance to win this round.
Predicted winner: Demrow (SLX)

Good analysis, although I don't agree with the 7-0-1 idea.

Also I'd like to know the combo you are working on to make sure it's not similar to mine.

If he's anything like me, you won't get a word out of him!

In other news, Call seems to be falling apart! We series'd about an hour ago and I flawed him 3-0. Let's not forget that I have been randomly selecting, using all luck and no skill whatsoever, trying to look bad, as stated in my status since yesterday. This should have given Call a large enough advantage to pull an easy win off of me, so the fact that he lost so terribly makes things look scary for him.

Call, if you're out there buddy, I'd get practicing if I were you. I don't wanna see you lose until you make it to me... <3

I can't give out the full numbers but it's a _-3-1-0 combo. It's not quite a 4 piece combo, but it's more like a 3 piece with a biscuit on the side.

ator 12-10-2016 03:37 AM

Dang, its been a while since I've seen that combo played. Honestly, I'm excited to see what everyone has for us tomorrow, its unfortunate that none of the veterans from the 1st RPST were around.

The veterans have nothing, this is a new generation with new and improved tactics that those oldies wouldn't stand a chance against. Honestly, they'd just be wasted spots in the tournament, I don't think I couldn't see a single one making it past the first round unless they were up against Jose. They're all washed up.

My Predictions for 1st round:
Exalt (Whitebeard) vs Qes (DoT) - honestly this is one for the ages. exalt rps skills have dramatically improved in the last month and I personally have seen him practicing in his gh vs primetime and he 3-0'd prime in rps by using the paper/scissor tactic that has been taking off on the server lately. Exalt also seems to respond when someone pulls out scissors and he clutches it. Qes on the other hand don't doubt his use rock, he knows how to throw that out at the correct time. He still tends to throw out paper at the wrong time but his 3-2-1 combo is improving.

My Predicted Winner: Exalt - never doubt the passion of a basement dwelling no lifer.

------

Demrow (SLX) vs Pip Daddy (Holy) - HOLY VS SLX - personally demrow said he might not make it so Pip might have an ez first round bye unless we get this replaced. Pip tends to use paper while demrow is more of a scissors guy, should be interesting matchup if it happens. I personally saw Pip getting rekt by a couple siderooming rps members the other day so he is going to have to bring his A game if he wants to take down the Dem.

My Predicted Winner: Demrow (SLX) - if he shows up

------

Mac (M8S) vs Kicko (Sage) - lots of drama in this matchup. These 2 seem to not get a long and they have a history here which Kicko makes sure to talk about 5 times every day:

But this is RPS and not some no skill **** like sparring. This is Mac's chance to redeem himself for almost being 10-0'd in dumb spar. Personally I think Kicko has the edge in this match as his 6-2-1 RPS nitro combos are pretty unique and crazy.

My Predicted Winner: Kicko (Sage) - his 6-2-1 nitro combination with scissor/paper might be too much for Mac. Mac is going to get the 3-6-1 down first.

-----

Inco (VIS) vs 205 (Whitebeard) - Inco can practice all he wants but no matter what he will always have a negative RPS ratio for a reason. He tends to choke and he doesn't even have the 3-2-1 down and just throws out rock like a blockhead. He is going to need a miracle to even win once vs me.

My Predicted Winner: 205 (Whitebeard) - inco aint got **** on me, expect me to flaw his ass and calling him out live on stream

-----

aTor (Government) vs Rebels (VIS) - Rebels has claimed himself as the gold standard of RPS and no one will even come close to beating him in this tournament. That may be true if he meant the gold standard of dog ****. Rebels is overrated and I saw him get flawed by Inco, that's how bad he is. aTor's game is solid, he plays it safe and doesn't get fooled by paper like ever. His reaction time to throw out scissors is above average and his RPS ratio has improved dramatically and he can clutch with scissors quite often, it's impressive.

My Predicted Winner: aTor

-----djjddid

Jose (VIS) vs Kieran (is weeb) - I'll be honest I am not sure if Jose even knows how to RPS so this might be a unique match. I've seen some cases where a player that is just learning get some beginners luck but at the same time I know Kieran has been practicing his RPS non stop and getting the 7-2-1 6-4-1 3-2-1 scissor overthrow to paper combos down a lot. Kieran actually might be one of the best RPS to ever set foot on graal and is my personal favorite to win it all. Kieran is basically the RPS community god.
Jdjssisi

My Predicted Winner: Kieran - Kieran is the best RPS'r of all time, don't see him going down in the 1st round and his use of scissor can't be beaten.

----

Collin (Canada) vs TBD - Colin doesn't have a match yet but I wanted to point out no matter who goes up vs Colin... Colin will lose because he is horse **** and sucks.

My Predicted Winner: Anyone but Colin

James205 and Ator wanted to host a tournament between current and aspiring Rock Paper Scissor legends, so we set up a bracket of 32: http://challonge.com/classicrps

It'll be on on Saturday, December 10th @ 7pm EST in James205's guild house. Everyone will show up and we'll run through the bracket just like the GST.
James should be streaming it on his Twitch channel, and Zetectic sent me a PM so he might be around to make sick metal edits for YouTube.

Winner will get $20, generously offered by James. We're also going to have a bracket predictions contest, sort of like a March Madness thing. I don't have too many ideas for a prize yet, but right now I'm willing to give 10 Christmas gifts to whoever first comments the name of the final winner. We'll probably come up with something more, but for now just consider it to be for bragging rights.

(Q)To participate in the prediction contest, simply reply to this thread with who you think will win the entire tournament. The first person to predict the winner will get the prize. You don't have to predict a score, just the winner of the tournament.(/q)

⊙ω⊙
This is supposed to just be a fun holiday thing for Graal, but we're trying to get others involved and maybe show staff that there's interest in an official Rock Paper Scissors tournament. Thanks in advance to anyone who shows up to watch and to James and Ator for the idea and prize offering.

lol veterans always win bro. You are talking veterans that have won like 7 RPSTs vs noobies that are 0/4. It's about leadership mostly as an individual

You seem to be missing the fact that these veterans have been out of the loop for quite some time and are unfamiliar with the younger generation's tactics. The game of RPS has evolved tremendously since the days of these older guys, and personally I don't think they have what it takes to compete at the highest level anymore.

& lmao @mikva
