There should only be 1 gst hat each tournament, maybe 2. 3 is kinda dumb, anyone can place 2nd or 3rd.
This would make it easier for originality and quality when admins are making the hats.

Lets leave the talk about spar to people who play the game, not subpar graphics artists who clock 18 hours a day in game and don't actually play the game lol (referring to the anime t-shirt wearing adult who quoted me)

how do you clock 18 hours a day if you aren't playing the game, at that point it's just idling and not actually playing the game so I don't see why that would affect you in the slightest but then again your life revolves around graal no matter how much you deny it.

Unless you have a photographic memory there is no way a Gfx member can remember every single one of them and then come up with a unique idea

They dont have to remember every single hat thats untealistic, but its not too much to ask to steer away from downright recoloring/remaking gst hats and at the very least 5k hats as well. I still remember the outrage from selling the black crown 20k spar hat and then just removing the glow from it. I understand 2 hats 4 times a year adds up but there's a log of gst winners so the ability to go find the gst hats is there, not to mention the countless gst hat libraries in peoples guild houses.

Hats should just be sold rarely or stop as a whole because if it is getting to the point of remaking GST/Prize Hats then what is the point of even trying to win these prizes if everyone can have it. GST hats shouldn't be made for everyone or else that takes away the meaning of it being a GST hat. it's just a normal hat if one goes and makes something similar.

You're assuming they do it on purpose. No, the reason they accidentally remake GST hats is because they didn't know they existed in the first place. So while you say you understand they don't have to remember hats, you disregard the fact that it happens because they don't remember what hats exist.

Honestly GST hats should probably be screened by players before being given out.

I actually noticed that the hats at york are different, a helmet that I bought from there is no longer being sold.

I get that for players, like if someone submitted a Christmas gift hat similar to a GST hat then okay, but I feel like GFX staff should maybe be held to a higher standard probably. Every GST hat, or at least all of the ones that I've won, follow some naming convention:

I really don't know what RC looks like anymore, but last time I had access to the file manager it would allow you to locally download files. It seems really easy to download every "hatgst"-prefixed file in the hats folder and skim over them in thumbnail view. And like others said, for 2nd and 3rd hats, I don't think it's as big of a deal. It'd be nice if the MoD Library kept updated and displayed the 1st place hats for winners or something.


I don't think it'll remain an issue soon anyway, or as long as the new guild system comes out. I'd assume staff will instead be giving out rewards like the belt and other stuff to the winners, and then an amount of points to their guild comparable to however much is needed to get a hat. This whole issue spurs from the fact that we aren't allowed to personalize prize hats anyway. If it was possible, this should basically never happen.

yea luckily that one looks worse than my viking gst hat and thankfully mine has some personalization with 'GST' scribed on the back of it, so it still feels like a complete different hat. Imo all the GST hats should have some sort of personalization to it, seems like a simple edit and fix?

What y'all need is the people who made tower 1ks to join. However, you won't find anyone of them able to join because of their ban history. This was made extremely clear when someone tried to apply but was denied. You lost them to iZone.
