I just looked at mega Beedrill's stats.

Can you say glass cannon?

What would be a good setup for a special wall Snorlax?

I liked this one I found:

Snorlax @ Assault Vest
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Body Slam
- Earthquake
- Crunch
- Pursuit

But the the thing is that he can't heal himself at all.

EDIT: Also, I just realized Jolteon is RU. People are saying the reason is because of Raikou, Mega Manectric, and Thundurus. Two of those are legendaries and one is a mega.

EDIT 2: I am in love with this Snorlax.

Snorlax @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 144 HP / 188 Def / 176 SpD
Careful Nature
- Curse
- Body Slam
- Fire Punch
- Rest

Sup3rn00b 12-20-2014 10:38 PM

Wait why is jolteon RU? I thought it was OU?

Keeluah 12-21-2014 01:37 AM

I thought it was UU, the inly Eeveelution that's in OU is Sylveon because every other evolution are easily outclassed. In jolteon case it's one of the few glass cannons in the eletric category with a not so good ability and it is way too frail with those low defensive stats. My favorite electric type to use beside Rotom-W is probably Galvauntula or however you spell it.

Galvantula @ Focus Sash
Ability: Compound Eyes
EVs: 252 SpA/252 Spe/4 HP
Timid Nature
- Sticky Web
- Thunder
- Bug Buzz
- Volt Switch

Good sacraficial pokemon with good utility. Sticky Web gives your team speed advantage most of the time, allow pokemons like M-Heracross to easily sweep. It's compound Eyes ability gives it a huge boost to it's accuracy allowing for easy Thunder hits with the 30% para chance. If it wasn't for Shuckle's amazing defense, Galvantula would be my go to sticky web poke.

Do you think I could use Shuckle to set traps or would that be bad for my team? I'm starting to see the frailness in Jolteon so I was thinking of replacing him with another Pokemon soon.

Keeluah 12-22-2014 04:12 PM

Shuckle could easily get some setups going on, it will most likely be able to sustain two attacks before going off, unless they have like a +4 attack/SpA boost. This gives you a good chance to set up stealth rocks and a sticky web, add in toxic and maybe infestation unless you want to chesto resto. Although you have to watch out for the taunts, so infestation will have slightly more use than chesto resto, but chesto resto allows you to be able to set up if again if they have a defog or rapid spinner on their team.

I like choice specs Jolteon with hidden power ice, thunderbolt, volt switch, and shadow ball. I like Jolteon over Raikou because of speed and I prefer Jolteon over Mega Manetric because I don't need a mega stone to boost Jolteon's stats and a choice specs volt switch is going to hurt. Jolteon's base speed with timid nature outspeeds most of ou anyway.

Tyler 12-24-2014 04:26 AM

Okay! So I took Goten's advice and threw choice specs on my Jolteon. My team now consists of...

Dragonite
Ability: Multiscale
Nature: Adamant
Item: Weakness Policy
252 Speed/252 Attack/ 6 Sp. Defense
Moves: Earthquake, Extreme Speed, Dragon Dance, Dragon Claw

Greninja
Ability: Protean
Nature: Timid
Item: Life Orb
252 SP. ATK/252 Speed/6 Defense
Moves: Hydro Pump, Extrasensory, Ice Beam, Grass Knot

Snorlax
Ability: Thick Fat
Nature: Careful
Item: Leftovers
144 HP / 188 Defense / 176 SP. DEF
Moves: Fire Punch, Curse, Body Slam, Rest

Jolteon
Ability: Volt Absorb
Nature: Timid
Item: Choice Specs
252 Speed/252 SP. ATK/ 6 Defense
Moves: Volt Switch, Thunderbolt, Hidden Power Ice, Shadow Ball

Scizor
Ability: Light Metal
Nature: Impish
Item: Scizorite
248 HP / 84 Attack / 176 SP. DEF
Moves: Swords Dance, Knock Off, Bullet Punch, Roost

Mismagius
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Timid
Item: Spooky Plate
4 Defense / 252 SP. ATK / 252 Speed
Moves: Thunderbolt, Nasty Plot, Shadow Ball, Destiny Bond

I'm thinking this is good so far, but Jolteon and Mismagius will most likely be replaced. Any suggestions will help as well. I have some other Pokemon that aren't on my team, but are in my PC listed below.

Empoleon
Ability: Torrent

If you end up using either Empoleon or Skarmory, give Empoleon leftovers and Skarmory the Mental Herb. (Mental Herb is to be sure you get off some kind of hazards with Skarm.)

Also get scald on Greninja over Hydro Pump. Accuracy+Burn Chance > Power imo. Just more relliable with all those hax going around and you end up missing 3 Hydro Pumps in a row. I would say to get Mismagius out for Honchkrow since you're team is really special based and getting the coverage from Honchkrow is nice.

I agree. The 80% worries me as it's bound to miss during a crucial moment. I'll try Honchkrow in a couple battles. What item should I throw on him?

Keeluah 12-24-2014 03:59 PM

Actually you might not be able to use Greninja anymore since Smogon just placed him into suspect test a while ago, so there is a chance he'll go into ubers. It's mainly because of tutor moves that made Greninja so OP since there's no long any checks against him. Used to able to wall him with Clefable, Azumarill and Chansey, but due to his access to Gunk Shot and Low Kick, those poke gets ruined easily and there's isn't much to be able to block him in the OU.

For Honchkrow just put something like a Leftovers or Sitrus Berry, would've recommended just a focus sash to get the Moxie rolling, but since you're running sub and roost. You could get a Salac Berry and keep subbing till you proc it, giving you a big speed boost and allowing you to sweep with that Sub up.

People always find a way to abuse and ruin a Pokemon. Can't you just use a non-uber set with him? He already has a certain set labeled as Uber.

Thanks, I'll give him one right now.
