This is the current Japanese tier list for SSB4. I'm pretty surprised to see where many characters have placed.

This is why I've never liked tiers.

You make people think one character is the best, less people choose mains by what feels good to them, and start picking what a list told them to.

Meh, I'm still sticking with Villager and Koopa Jr. as my mains, same with Zelda. The only high-tier character I'm using is Yoshi, and I with as using him before this list was released.

I wouldn't use tier lists as a guideline of who to main and if you should abandon your man, but I think they do give a pretty good picture of relative strength in a current meta as well as how characters rank at the highest levels of competitive play. It's still more important to play what you're most comfortable with and what you know best, as opposed to what tiers are saying. Just like League, it's better to know a C-tier champion inside and out than to be mediocre with an A-tier champion (lol @ people who sucked at IC/Olimar but played them because they were "OP" and countered MK). But if I'm against people with the same skill level as me on an A-tier champ and I know how to play the A-tier champs, I'm going to be playing the A-tier champs, even if I feel more comfortable on a C-tier champ.

Back in Brawl, I mained Lucario in casual and low-level play, but when I played against people better than me and knew how to capitalize on Lucario's inherent flaws, I had to start learning metapicks like METAKnight else I'd usually just be outclassed. Same deal with League; in professional play, Scarra (one of the greatest Katarina players in the world, famous for maining her extensively), never picks Katarina in tournaments because she's just not as good as higher-tiered champs.

I mainly posted the tiers just so everyone could get an idea of how each player works and to see where they placed respectively. Many of my mains are in the C-tier (I'm even attempting to main Samus, who is in the E-tier) and that's perfectly fine with me. I'm going to continue to main Villager because I can easily beat Rosalinas, Yoshis, and Zero Suit on For Glory play.

For those of you who wanted to see Ridley and Mewtwo in the New Super Smash Bros.,

Please Understand.

They might make an appearance in the Wii U...

Is it possible to play with no items on a final destination version of a stage in For Fun mode? I don't like items and oddball gimmicky stages but I like customizing my charachter to a degree...

Is there really a 1v1 online game mode for this game? That would be the best.

Yes, it's in For Glory. You each have 2 lives, and its 5 min/match.
