It's seems strange that most people with low stats are becoming GP's. It's very rare to see someone with decent stats - not like 100k PK's, but the usual like 10k kills etc.

I think a reason as to why very inexperienced players aren't being hired is because they may have a few bans over the years. They should still be given a chance since it's about how well they do their job in the end (unless the ban was given over the past year)

Edit: and if it's because of her spar/pks/bks I swear to god.....that reasoning is so overused and idiotic it makes me want to throw up

Hi. I completely agree with what Jarace has written. What I meant about the new account thing is that someone may write an excellent application which ticks all the boxes. However, they might have a few bans from years ago - which would stop them from getting hired. If a person were to create a new account, they'd be more likely to get hired alongside their good application which meets all the necessary requirements since = no ban history.

Anyway, sorry for going off-topic and thanks for the reply.

stats are the only thing that prove you're involved in gameplay

Well when you look at the fact stats show how involved you are in the actual competitive gameplay aspects of graal and how understanding the person is of the games core mechanics (helps when deciding someone is cheating, lag blocking etc)

I don't see this as an idiotic reason at all it's completely reasonable. Not only do I not know her but I'm sure she wouldn't be able to tell the difference between someone like zid from a speeder.

If it were a new player, still would be good in a way, since they have no favorites
Not hard for a new player to know if people are doing something wrong. Might not know all the rules, especially when it comes to sparring, but I'm sure watching over graal city wouldn't be that complicated.

It seems that stats aren't that important. However, I believe they are since it indicates how much time/effort the player has put into the game. This generally shows that the player is experienced and is passionate about the game, thus they will be more willing to improve other players' game-play and theirs by moderating since they themselves are an active member of the server.

Yes, it's true that low stats doesn't always mean they're inexperienced. However, I can understand why some people are upset. Personally,I think that 25 pk's and 3100 baddy kills is quite low. This may also indicate that the GP has some gaps in her knowledge and may not be able to help when certain questions are asked. With private online time, it shows that the GP is not confident about her hours; it might be quite low (nothing wrong with that). BUT combined with 0 spars, it's just a huge indicator that they're inexperienced. I mean, do they even know what or where the battle arena is? etc

Just means that you aren't passionate about swinging your sword at things for hours. I have a 0-15 spar ratio but I'm a lead in the 6th best GS guild seasonally Just be cause you don't like one thing doesn't mean you suck.
