but you already did have a 100% direct effect on EV training in previous games, it was just harder. but that was the fun of it, and only the good trainers did it (aka the ones who know about and deserve the EV training)

I never bothered googling how to EV train, seemed too complicated to me lol. They made EV stats invisible to see though, so I would have never known if I was doing it right.

I wonder...

If they now have easier ways to train EVs, maybe they will also add easier ways of tracking em?
