Gimme a summary what TWGOK is about? I haven't watch it yet but you guys are saying that it's good and cute so kinda curious.

I'm also curious, BTW NUM 1,000!

Wolfie 03-04-2014 01:38 AM

Num. 1001

Keeluah 03-04-2014 01:42 AM

TWOGK is about a guy named Keima, who is the king when it comes to conquering girls... in dating sim games. In reality, he doesn't care about girls in the real life and sticks to the 2D girls. While messaging other dating sims players, he gets a message that challenges his ability to conquer girls, obviously he accepted it, which turns out to be a contract with a demon in order to help her capture "loose Souls". These loose souls hides themselves in hearts of girls, feeding away at their negative emotions to gain power. The only way to remove the loose soul from these girls, someone must conquer their heart and kick the loose souls away from the heart. so Keima now has to take his Dating Sim skills into the real world and conquer the hearts of many girls.

Livid 03-04-2014 01:44 AM

I plan on starting Date A Live, if anyone would like to inform me on how good it is (In a simple way not an over explained way) I'd appreciate it also did anyone try out corpse party :)

Basically, guy who love's games and dislikes interacting with people ends up being forced to make girls fall in love with him.

Spirits are Female warriors from another dimension, who have invaded earth 5 years ago causing disasters all over Japan. The only way to stop them and seal their disastrous powers is to date them. It's basically a guy who is set up by an organization to try and date the spirits.

Like I said before, 'Date A Live' just seemed like a worse version of TWGOK to me. Same concept of a guy being forced to make girls fall in love with him, except the plot just felt forced & contrived while the mc just seemed dumb & annoying. (But then again, I was prolly pre-biased since I had already watched/read TWGOK before looking at 'Date A Live', thus inevitably leading to my comparisons between the two. Perhaps it might have been better had I been able to avoid comparing it to TWGOK)

Spoiler
his sister ended up being the leader of the bloody thing but this is really interesting.

I'm actually watching Blue Exorcist right now though thank you.

Idk what TWGOK meant, thats what I meant about complicated way of explaining it, I wanted it to be simple but thanks I understand.

Listen to Me, Girls, I'm your Father was an unexpected surprise.

"Yūta Segawa is a university first year student who became an orphan as a child and so his older sister, Yuri, chose to raised him on her own when their relatives tried to separate them and send them to live in different homes. One day, Yūta is asked by Yuri and her husband to babysit their children, Sora, Miu and Hina Takanashi, while they go on a trip. However, during this time, the plane Yuri and her husband are flying on crashes and they are both reported missing. In order to prevent the girls from being separated from each other, Yūta takes it upon himself to look after the girls in his small dormitory apartment. Thus begins Yūta's life of sharing his everyday life with three girls."

The story felt a little rushed at times and would of liked to get a little more background development on a few of the characters, but it is a 12 episode series.

I'd definitely recommend it because Hina is just to kawaii.

The World God Only Knows is basically this nerd had his heart crushed and decided to give up on finding real love and goes straight into his games, but he accepts this challenge one day as he is the "God of Sim dating" and has to become a real life pimp.

It's a enjoyable series, but they did a pretty hefty jump between seasons 2 and 3 and you don't really care for some the girls.

One of the earlier series I've watched. Just found it extremely cute. It's kinda like Usagi Drop if anyone seen that series. All that's really similar is that a guy is taking care of young children due to their guardian passing away.

Is there any other anime that's similar to Sakurasou? And is Sakurasou gunna have a 2nd season? The ending kinda makes it seem like it will have another season.

Nothing has been announced. Expect some sort of announcement this year, if there isn't, I doubt we'll see one.

If episode 23 was the end, I'd agree.

You don't end a series with "HERE'S TWO NEW CHARACTERS THAT YOU'LL KNOW NOTHING ABOUT HA **** YOU BIG BOIIIIII"

NeoZX 03-04-2014 06:19 AM

I liked 24.
It worked well IMO, showing that there ARE more kids just like them.
It also shows how the now 3rd years have stepped up and become the leaders.

Great series regardless.

24 was a good episode, just should of saved the introduction of the new characters for the second season. I know it's anime logic and all, but if they consistently had outcast students to establish the hall in the first place, there are always going to be more.

Agreed. Amazing series.

Maoyu (I actually learned some **** about economics in this series, has a bit of action in it too), Toradora (Excellent series, last episode watch after the credits), Love Chunibyo & Other Delusions (Has a second season currently airing), Golden Time (Highly recommend this one, Currently airing)

If you want some of the more comedic heavy romantic shows, Nisekoi and Engaged to the Unidentified. Both currently airing

If you want a cluster**** of confessions with a little bit of a whiney main character, Nagi no Asukara. (Artwork is amazingly animated, Currently airing)

Talon 03-04-2014 03:22 PM

Say "I love you" is one of my favorite romances, as well as Inu X Boku SS. Say "I love you" is a really, really good slice of life and realistic show, and Inu X Boku SS is a great fantasy-infused romance with elements of a ton of genres in an appealing mix. I never understood why Inu X Boku SS didn't get much recognition aside from when it was airing when I discovered it; it's a really quality show with awesome characters and a pretty unique and interesting plot - not to mention the beautiful art style and fantastic music.

On another note, Shugo Chara ended in a really similar manner to Sakurasou by introducing two new characters, and despite there still being material in the manga, it was never continued. Notwithstanding, SC was just as popular at its time, so I can't say whether or not I expect a Sakurasou Season 2. There is still a lot to cover in terms of viewer satisfaction, so here's to hoping for S2.

My favorite anime movie. Really portrays the realism of childhood love that most animes hide. Contains three stories or episodes/parts that is exceptionally well done in production, Art and animation is beautiful and the music is so nice, unless you're not a fan of the piano. This series isn't recommended for people who only watch action or comedy series, since it's a more slow pace drama romance series.

GlazeyB 03-04-2014 08:33 PM

Summer Wars is also a excellent anime movie.

1. You need an account in http://myanimelist.net/
2. Follow this tutorial to get a customizable anime list; http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=200320
3. You either have bases knowledge in CCS coding to make your very own personal anime list, or you can get one donated by other users here; http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=607979

Why are you being so condescending based on an entirely subjective opinion? lol, no reason to be offended that we don't all agree on character appeal

And can you please for the love of God learn how to use spoilers?
