The thing that made Baccano interesting for me was solely the fact that there were 34820850240480 criminals all coincidently on the same train. Favorite characters were Isaac and Miria.
And no Death Note was not disappointing, Death Note was one of the few anime that ended AS IT SHOULD HAVE. Several series were ruined for me because every other anime wont let their main character die at the end. |
My favorite was Lad Russo f*** he was cool.

Just because an anime character is not as stronger than another doesn't mean they are less "badass" xp anyways it's not like ladd dies..somehow.
I started watching Beyons the boundary after hearing good things about it in this thread, sure it good. |

I just recently marathon through Dangan Ronpa, I can't believe I missed this amazing series when it was ongoing during the summer. Although it probably would've been better to marathon instead on agonizing it all the twists every episode.
A group of 15 elite high school students are gathered at a very special, high class high school. To graduate from this high school essentially means you'll succeed in life, but graduating is very difficult. The school is presided over by a bear called Monokuma, and he explains to them that their graduation hinges around committing a murder. The only way to graduate is to kill one of your classmates and get away with it. If the other classmates discover the identity of the killer, the killer is the only one executed. However, if they fail to catch the killer, only the killer graduates and the others are annihilated. Which of the 15 will survive the bloodbath to come? The only downside is that the anime took a 25 hours game and adapt it to a 13 episode anime (Roughly 5 hours), so apparently is seemed rushed. I have never seen the game to say, and it looks quite well done in my opinion. Although I would've wondered how it would have gone if they made it a two-core series. Each episode was well done, having the right amount of stuff in each episode, leaving many suspense along the way. All in all, this is a very amazing series. One of the better ones I've seen in awhile. |

Naraka High School, is a seemingly normal school. However, unknown to the public is the cruel truth of what really goes on in the school's halls. Rather than studying, students are forced to struggle for their very survival. And the strong bonds of friendship may be the only difference between life and death. http://mangafox.me/manga/aphorism/ There is also Kamisama no Iutoori ni: Takahata Shun's day at high school begins just as normal and boring as ever, but it doesn't end that way. After his teacher's head explodes, he and his classmates find themselves forced to play children's games, such as Daruma ga Koronda (a game like Red Light/Green Light), with deadly stakes. With no idea who is behind this mysterious deadly game session, and no way of knowing when it will finally end, the only thing Shun and other students can do is keep trying to win... http://mangafox.me/manga/kamisama_no_iutoori_ni/ These two are quite good, I reccomend them. Though beware, they contain gore, especially Kamisama no Iutoori ni. |
Too many "students killing each other in high school" animes/mangas.
