The censoring was pretty bad and the ending was just to keep people guessing for season 2 which I actually don't mind, not much of an ending if theres a season 2 to continue it.

except they didn't announce a s2 until much later and it's still horrible to end a season in the middle of an arc.

Actually, I think they just failed to announce a s2 in time, that or it was another anime that was made only to advertise the manga which is common.

Nah, I've said this a few tens of pages back, that ending was pure bs, no conclusion of any sort, just cut right in the middle without any plans for season two. Other anime that has done the read the manga ends off the current arc or sub arc or teasers for a continual, but Tokyo Ghoul just out right ended in the middle of the arc.

But, it has a season 2 which currently throws that "ending" out considering its not even done. So the terrible "ending" is now a terrible "cliffhanger".

The ending to the first season of Tokyo Ghoul is utter trash

Just a heads up to people, the last chapter in Your lie in april has been released so yeah watch out for spoilers
