Kotori was pretty sub-par in terms of substance up until the final episodes where she's revealed to be Efreet and the last ****ing episode where she almost dies multiple times. That scene where she's shooting up that drug behind the vending machine to stay alive gave me feels. If there's one scene I remember from Date A Live, it's that scene and her battle with Kurumi.

Spoiler
I love Kurumi's evil sadistic attitude but I love Kotori's game face when shes in her spirit form, kotori is a very unique character half human and spirit and since our main character there has the power to sea spirits powers I'm pretty sure he'll be half spirit in season 2 by just seeing all the foreshadowing.

Spoiler
About 8-7 students all in the same grade want to stay together forever because one of them is being transferred to another school, so one of the students offers up an idea that would allow them to be friends forever, she whipped out a paper doll and they all grabbed a part of it. They said a ritual I cant remember, and one of them slipped up. Due to that slip up the backfire of the paper doll ritual lead them to an haunted highschool which was built before their highschool which took its spot after it was torn down. This haunted highschool is full of ghosts that so happened to die their along with other "friends" tha failed the paper doll ritual. These ghosts are not mild or weak nor are they nice they are evil spirits forever tortured small kids infact. They were all in the old schools murders and were trapped there, you can watch about the rest by yourself I do warn you of the horendous killings, deaths, and just every scene to be exact and multiple twists enjoy!

Log Horizon Season 2 is all but confirmed.

Did more research as I was getting to the current episode, the creator mentioned that plans for a season 2 were ongoing in early December.

Side note; episode 23 contains an easter egg from the creators other series, Maoyu. Leefa from SAO is there too.

5hift 03-11-2014 09:23 PM

Hamatora is a pretty good ongoing anime if you ask me.

Here's some info about it (Crunchyroll):

Spoiler
"Minimum"— Otherwise known as "small miracles", is a special power that only manifests within a few, select humans. Those who possess this ability are called "Minimum Holders." 2014: Yokohama. The detective duo of Nice and Murasaki, otherwise known as "Hamatora," wait again today for work with their friends at a table at Cafe Nowhere that they use as their agency. Suddenly, a job they receive seems to have a weird connection with the serial killer that their police friend, Art is searching for. All of the victims of this case happened to be Minimum Holders. Soon, Nice and Murasaki, who are both Minimum Holders themselves, find themselves getting more and more involved in the case...

Finished Corpse Party: Tortured Souls.. Was a LOT more graphic than i had been expecting. It took me a little bit to understand it, but the ending was somewhat touching.
Spoiler
Only three people were left and were going to escape the elementary school, and they find out one of the characters didn't have the charm they used that got thim stuck in the school. The protagonist gives his to her, claiming he has his dead sister's charm to use. As they disappear, the camera shows a random person's highschool ID on the ground, which is where most students kept their charms that got them trapped. Only two of the three students made it back, each holding one of the protagonist's severed arms. He lied about having his sister's charm to make sure his friend would make it back instead of him.

I'm REALLY looking forward to the new Fate Stay Night, the other one sucked... I'm hoping this one will be a lot better. Another anime im waiting for is Mekaku-City Actors. I listened to the songs and have caught on the manga of the Kagerou Project and im really excited about it.

Going to watch a lot of anime over spring break hopefully. College has made it rather difficult with midterm exams. I was able to get to 22/25 episodes of Magi: The Kingdom of Magic though. I really do love this anime. I find it unique compared to other action animes I've seen.

If there's one reason I can pick that makes me cringe hard at STB, it's this. I understand the concept of repetition and parallelism and how it can be effective when used in a circle effect or sparsely, but dammit this is so cheesy. It's actually gotten to the point where I laugh my ass off at these scenes. Same goes with the whole "I'm your observer" ****.

So uh... ToraDora is finally getting an English dub. Not a big fan of English dub, but hopefully this will bring in more popularity for ToraDora to the west. Plus the dub voice isn't that bad, still not as good as the original Japanese cast.

All 25 Episodes + OVA will be released on Blue-Ray July 1st (Canada Day).

Tyler 03-13-2014 06:22 AM

The only English Dubs I enjoyed were Soul Eater and Code Geass. Otherwise the English voices just sound plain to me. Especially the Angel Beats ones. Yikes.

Blah64 03-13-2014 06:41 AM

I don't really think English Dubs are that bad.
My only gripe with 'em is that there seem to be fewer voice actors, thus it irks me how I always recognize the voices, and therefore keep thinking about previous anime I've watched.

Ew I'm betting they'll sound terrible for reals.

Skill 03-13-2014 12:11 PM

Not really a big fan of the English dub of Toradora. The voices don't really fit the personalities of the characters and it overall doesn't appeal to me.

The voice actors sound really familiar, though...

Mejico Josh 03-13-2014 06:05 PM

On the subject of dub or sub, to be honest i really dont care what its in. Both have advantages as the japanese version is the first one (expect space dandy), have more actors as anime is actually accepted over in japan and most of the time they nail the characters very well (i mean steins;gate is just perfect in sub, not like its bad in dub)

With a dub however again it has its advantages. More so with the fact i can eat and watch a show as my food normally covers the subtitles and in my eyes if the dub is briliant i will prefer it to the sub (examples being FMA:B, Cowboy Bebop and Baccano!)

I know. It pisses me off that was just a commercial for nothing.

Talon 03-16-2014 07:37 AM

Today's episode of Kuroko was really, really good. It captured the game in a different way that the manga simply couldn't; this was one of the few episodes that I enjoyed more than the manga. The voice acting and animation was ridiculously good.

GlazeyB 03-16-2014 12:59 PM

Just powered through all of Mirai Nikki in one sitting.

I have no regrets. When I started the series, it reminded me of Death Note at the start but it transforms into such an amazing thriller romantic yandere cluster **** that I can't help to love.

Spoiler
While a few characters were pretty much left out, Yuki and Yuno are possibly the best twisted couple possible. Yuno is already a strong contender for the best Yandere in my book. Finding out that First World Yuno kills Second World Yuno because she couldn't bring First World Yuki back to life, eventually that love is spirited to Third World Yuno who gets her memories back from First World Murmur who has taken in the feelings of her master. After 10,000 years had passed for the Second World Yuki being a depressed little **** then seeing them together for the final scene in the series was a good way to end the series.

This is the anime you get when you put Toradora and Death Note together, except you throw in a amazing yandere for ****s and giggles.

I also watched The Devil is a Part Timer a few days ago. Okay series, had it's comedic moments, action scenes were really well done. Characters are not that likable aside from one, not to mention the convenience that happens in this series is just too cliche.
