Why does competitive have to ruin everything.

IV or EV whatever, that really sucks (personal opinion). This game is basicly made for kids! How the hell is he supposed to know that?? Training pokemons like that...

You're disproving your own point here:

Exactly... it's almost as if the game is designed to appeal to a broader demographic than just kids! The whole "designed for kids" is a poor stigma created by the brand/show marketing. The games are just RPGs with very, very childish brand marketing. Beyond the fact it's just an RPG like every other RPG the meta game is proof enough that it's not being created just for kids.

I still can't play this game without getting **** from people I know about it. They're the type of people that think Pokemon / YuGiOh / etc. should only be played by little kids. Sad day.

People like that are just jerks. I don't get why so many people think they can determine what people should do for fun (unless its like, hurting people or something.)

Most people I know in my high school think pokemon is boss, except for like a couple of my friends who hate the new gens.

I was playing black 2 and was like "yo look at my haxorus"
they said they new none of the new pokemon.
yet they know that x and y will give you 2 starters.

I digress.

I am willing to bet that 75%+ people in high school still play pokemon but just don't publicize it. Back when I was in HS, I knew a lot of people that still hoped on it for nostalgia feels, and during senior year, everyone just started making it public. For me, senior year was a year where judgement was let go, it was the final year of grade school so everyone was just out to enjoy themselves and didn't care about stupid labels.

I take my 3DS with me to college, and thanks to streetpass, I can see what people are playing. Like 45% of my streetpass people were pokemon Black/White(2).

That's my experience anyhow.
