Honestly a bit surprised by the selections ( player votes and otherwise ).

It occurs to me that maybe having a list of qualities that would be criteria to be judged on in future events might help? That and coaching people in order to avoid wasting talent and time, but I've said that before.

I was basing my votes on the practicality of the emote or how much it can blend in game.

See, that's what I meant... there were quite a few that were thematically well done, but the top list ones in the last (state) event were not chosen based on this. Then, the player voting was specifically asking about which ones were visually best and didn't discuss theme this time.

Also, I was definitely tempted to hop onto multiple google accounts for that voting procedure. Good thing it wasn't the sole deciding factor :P

Glad to see that the drama around the dog emote didn't hurt it's placing.

Based on the polls either attack or heart would have been 1st/2nd, blob 3rd, etc. Myram would have placed, but staff decision is final
All the emotes are good, so no one should be unhappy about where they placed. In the end, this kind of competition should be done for fun. It's an opportunity for all of us to better ourselves

Same, I said last night in my Discord server that "most useful" should have been a category and based on the results it seems like that was probably taken into consideration

It's all good, coco was a stand-up gal and offered me the emote so props to her.

I believe 5th place is the center of the room, so wouldn't worry too much about it. The polls are taken into consideration, but not 100% in order to avoid a popularity contest or voting with multiple accounts
but hey if you don't want 5th place, I'll take it
