Not really. Windows 8 isn't getting great reception, they're trying to force a tablet-oriented OS on people who have no desire for such a design. It's probably not going to get good reception in the PC market, and that's one of the only markets they dominate it. Hopefully they'll follow the same pattern and Windows 8 will be a flop and the next OS will be much better.

I'm just hoping Best Buy or a physical store will still have some high-end Win7 laptops for a good price before they completely phase them out, that is if they haven't done so by the end of 2012...they already pushed all the Win7 laptops to a single table on the side of the showroom floor, everything is running Win8 now.
I'm also not experienced buying computers/laptops online so that is always an option but I'm uncomfortable with it.
