LAT- developer of levels

If you are seriously interested in trying to develop graal levels, you can find more information and download GRAAL PC here: http://www.graalonline.com/playerwor...?page=Creation

There is a program called "Level Editor" which gives you the tools in a drag-and-drop format to create levels, and even learn some scripting.

I love the level editor but im terrible at npc scripting anything not predefined, its like reading chinese.

Also is there place to download images used on the server that arent included in the tileset? I could winscp and get them but I was wondering if there is an official source? Or if you guys have a tileset just for classic iphone..

I would personally love to see some people try their hand at LAT.

IT IS MUCH HARDER THAN IT LOOKS!
(especially if you are going to create something worth while and detailed enough to use in game)

If there were some players out there who had some serious skill in the LAT department and were mature and avaliable, there could be opportunities for you.

Graal is esentially a gateway for players looking to expand their skills, whether it be in gfx, levels, or scripting. And in order to become really good, you need to PRACTICE!

Perhaps you should check these opportunities out instead of sitting around and waiting for the next update to be created for you.

For those that do want to learn how to script, not all the scripts found in the editor will function with the online servers (I think) If I'm not mistaken, the servers run in GS2(Graal Script 2). The scripts found in the Editor are GS1.

Here's a link to some tutorials to learn GS2 as well as how to convert GS1 to GS2. I'm sure there's a thread somewhere that has a link that directs to this site or one of the tutorials but, this is for anyone who sees this post before finding that thread.

you are correct. The level editor's scripting engine will actually NEVER work with anything except graal reborn. Graal pc and iGraal servers use GS2 while the level editor is defaulted to GS1.
@Lykke
I have been making levels, and NPCs for awhile now. I've even made several GMaps. It's not all that complicated making the levels themselves, but the NPCs are harder. I can script both languages GS1 and GS2, and it is hard.

BTW admins currently aren't hiring LATs, only NATs and Uploaders.

What does that have to do with anything?

and not another wasted item like holiday tokens

Holiday tokens are my addition. A way of providing stuff without needing to pay tp get them: just involvement. The major issue is that I am the only one who is trying to get the holiday reward items going and my time is extremely limited*. I have a few ideas for halloween items but getting them implemented will be tricky. Not sure if my stuff will be on Halloween day but wouldn't be long after.

That said, it's very different from what's out there at the moment and it's a big group event :)

On the contrary my friend,

If you have some worthwhile stuff, send it to azrael and give him a chat

I guess, you could ask to be a LAT, and if you had talent, you could get hired.

Lykke 10-28-2011 06:09 PM

It's not so much about asking..but more about proving yourself

comet graal 10-28-2011 06:12 PM

yeah lol thats kinda what I meant by

But all the prizes are items you can waste pretty quickly (Fireworks) and furniture (Fireworks stand). Isn't there something else rewarding other than that? :(

I mentioned my lack of time. I don't have it available to go mad scientist and devise something crazy. Still, hopefully these rewards will be a bit more public and lasting :)

I like ViP a lot. Even though it might be pricey, it's worth it ;D. I don't think it really needs any updates. We already have a free item that comes along with the subscription every month..and that item can basically enter every "certain type of pet only" room. Plus, you can use your pc to access the Classic server if you don't have your iphone/ipod with you. And baddy killing on the FB server is amazing.

I agree with you on the Graal Police thing though. There's a lot of them o_o...but some of them are really helpful.

I never considered all those points...nice perspective! I completely agree!
